I have traveled the world, and I can easily say this was one of the nicest stays in my life! I was visiting Grossarl from Vienna for a long weekend to hike the alps and relax at the spa. Not only were the location and facilities absolutely beautiful, clean, and cozy, the staff was so attentive and professional. Everything felt like a dream- from being greeted with a welcome sekt to a lovely note with my name on it and complimentary chocolates in the room, to allowing a late check out and sending me off with a small gift of their own homemade smoked salt, everything was just perfect. I was treated so well by such friendly people. The dinners were an absolute highlight- each dish was brilliantly crafted and presented, and the taste almost made me cry. I have been telling my family and friends about Grossarlhof, and will continue to spread the word- my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in!

Our room was big and clean always. The food was exceptionally delicious and the employees are the nicest and friendliest we have ever experienced! We have been to many hotels in Austria and around the world, but these have been so far the best. We felt at home, our needs were met. They would even warm food for our toddler and would make suggestions for his food incase the kids menu was not what he could eat. They always found solutions to accommodate him too. This is a hotel that we will definitely visit again. Thats has never been the case. My toddler fell in love with Julia. She was amazing.. We didn't feel uneasy with the kids if they were hyper, the employees would indulge them and this would distract the kids. They didn't react irritated, they were welcoming. For the first time I found a cook who knows how to make Lamb meat. Yummy and delicious food. We were greeted and welcomed at the reception like VIPs. The beds were comfortable, the play room was really nice and we loved the table they selected for us during our stay. Amazing hotel, amazing team, everything was amazing. We loved it and wished we had booked longer. There are shops and cafés also in the area so incase one wants to shop or chill somewhere else, it's available. Best place for families. Weiter so...

The hotel was great! Very friendly staff and owners, location very nearby Grossarl and ski lifts. Breakfast and evening meals were good, more than sufficient and for the children separate menu's were available. Our family room was clean, spacious had a perfect layout with a small separate mezzanine where the children slept. Last but not least, there was an issue with our stay dates and they kindly asked us to arrive and leave a day earlier. We accepted this and as a thank you we received a voucher to spend in the hotel bar. We recommend staying there, we will come again if we go back to Grossarl. Well done Hotel Schiederhof!

It was a very cosy apartment. We got an excellent breakfeast to our door. In the apartment was everything we needed, a kitchen with coffee machine, mikrowave etc.. Free coffee and tea 24 hours near the lobby. Everything was very clean. Staff was so helpful with everything. Free ski bus every 10 minutes to the slopes and in the center. Austrian hospitality in perfection. We highly recommend.

We had a great experience at this amazing hotel. It is located in the city center of Großarl, but in a quiet neighborhood, which makes it an affordable place. The atmosphere is very cozy, clean, and equipped with all the essentials you need. We totally recommend it for your trip to Großarl or Salzburg (1 hour drive).

Grossarl is a booming ski town but in June 2023 the part...

Grossarl is a booming ski town but in June 2023 the part west of the river was essentially a huge building site. However it was great for mountain walking once away from the town itself. With a guest card (free from your accommodation) one can travel on local buses in the valley for 1 Euro per person per trip! There is a very adequate Billa supermarket.

Very friendly and supportive staff. The hotel rooms look newly renewed, the beds are comfortable and the sceneries in the mountain valley are breathtaking. The staff is friendly and very supportive, they go above and beyond when it comes to helping their guests. There was a mix-up with the room I had booked and the room I was checked into. But the staff quickly found a solution to offer us the best solution. Even at the breakfast, the staff makes sure that all the guest have what they need. This feels like a 5-star hotel, would defiantly book a stay at this hotel again.
