Geelong has a lot to offer with some great restaurants, cafes and pubs for meals. Well located if you want to travel to other places like Lorne, Barwon Heads, Queenscliff, but want more reasonable hotel rates, Geelong is more reasonably priced. Good shopping and great waterfront. Easy to get around with either public transport or car. There’s lots of wineries nearby so that’s also a bonus.Guest review byTraceyAustralia - 10

It's a great little coastal town plenty to see and do, full of history you have the great walking tracks, the historical fort, the ferry boat to take you across the water to Sorrento. Great little place to spend time at.Guest review byjohnAustralia - 10

Magnificent beach for swimming and surfing, running, walking dog. Good clean facilities. Easy access for wheelchair down ramps. Glorious views and coastal sceneery here and at Barwon Heads and The Bluff... all along the coast to Bells Beach, Anglesea and beyond. Would make an excellent place for summer vacations.Guest review byLeanneAustralia - 10
This is why I come out to smaller coastal towns!
This is why I come out to smaller coastal towns! with a beautiful selection of quality food, good vegatarian options, yummy alcohol-free drinks too.. So much to see and do, I prefer to stay at the local Barwon Heads Hotel when i see a show there - better than city venues - better staff - better crowds... just better all round.Guest review byKathrynAustralia - 10
Portarlington is a beautiful little seaside town.
Portarlington is a beautiful little seaside town. There are great safe beaches and a wonderful pier to enjoy fishing and walks. Great for golfers with a beautiful golf course and the golf club has great dining facilities with delicious meals and drinks. There are some wonderful little cafes and dress/ shoe shops and of course a bakery and Hotel. I must say the menu at the hotel was very basic and limited and drinks very expensive. The locals are very friendly and proud of their beautiful community.Guest review byColleenAustralia - 10
beautiful resort.
beautiful resort. The accommodation was perfect for what we needed and for the event we were attending. The staff upon checking in and checking out were very friendly, warm and welcoming. It was a shame we couldn't experience the dining area because it looked wonderful. We shall be returning to Curlewis in the near future for a longer stay.Guest review byDragiAustralia - 6.0

Motel was right on the Princes Hwy, so traffic noise was evident at night. A lot of trucks entered and left the nearby Refinery, close to the back entrance to the motel. This is not the ideal location for a motel, set amongst a number of industrial sites.Guest review byRossAustralia - 4.0

Very untidy around our cabin which was very run down and could have been cleaner. All cupboard doors falling off. Do we get a run down cabin because we travel with a dog? Also such a pity other people let there dogs roam off lead .Guest review byRobertAustralia - 10

It is interesting to see both the open ocean and inside Port Phillip heads, both geographically and historically. The Lighthouse is well kept and safe to explore. Nice quiet location which can be used as a base for Queenscliff and further along the Great Ocean Road. This unit was perfect for a stay of up to a week because one can self-cater, park safely, and also be quiet and peaceful.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0
