Everything was perfect! This is one of the best hotels in Mindelo, in my opinion (and I've stayed at many of them). The rooms are just perfect: comfortable beds, good pillows, air-conditioning, good water pressure, hot water, blackout curtains, minibar with reasonable prices... The staff is very friendly and attentive. The breakfast (vegan on request) was amazing. Best breakfast I've had in Cape Verde. Very central location, within walking distance from most areas you'd want to visit during your stay. And I saved the best for last: a rooftop terrace with a jacuzzi with a view on Monte Cara. This hotel is a great addition to Mindelo. We immediately booked our next stay.

Very atmospheric and well kept boutique hotel with immaculate rooms and impeccable service. Located in an attractive and safe neighborhood, within walking distance of most sights and best restaurants of town. Our beautiful room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely French balcony. Abundant and delicious breakfast that could be enjoyed on one of the nice patios of the hotel. Super friendly and attentive staff. We regretted we only booked for just one night.

The concept of being eco and being constructed only with sustainable materials. The room was immaculately clean and well decorated. The guy that stayed guarding the hotel(Zeferino I think) was really nice with us and explained to us a bit of the local culture of são Pedro. The Breakfast was fabulous, fresh food, omelette, fresh fruit, coffee and home made yoghurt. We were really well treated by the whole team and the room was cozy and comfy. The bathroom had homemade soap. And all is constructed with sustainable materials.

Amazing staff and location, you are at walking distance of all the important points of the city The staff is always available to help. Very good breakfast. The restaurant downstair is a big bonus, with amazing music that plays between 20:00-22:00 and very good food.

    The carnival time is one of the best times to enjoy Mindelo.

    The carnival time is one of the best times to enjoy Mindelo. Very colourful, lots of excitement and great atmosphere. You should try the local food, cachupa and the kamoka ice cream. Sao Pedro, close to the airport is a great place to see the turtles. The fish museum is adjacent to the African market where you can get souvenirs.

    Cesaria Evora museum is small but nice to do.

    Cesaria Evora museum is small but nice to do. The tavern, Italian restaurant was a good choice. Popular as well is Metalo restaurant, is much bigger with live music with a more fast food menu. The Sunday carnaval in Ribeira Bote was also a pleasant happening.

    The city is quite compact, and you can easily explore the...

    The city is quite compact, and you can easily explore the entire city center in a day. The more rural areas on the outskirts are less attractive, but I didn’t feel unsafe there. There are plenty of great bars and restaurants with live music in the evenings. Le Metalo was my favorite—both the food at the restaurant and the street food were excellent. The Municipal Market was a lovely spot, offering a variety of local souvenirs along with some random Chinese goods. The boutiques were similar—featuring a mix of local products and many Chinese-made items. The architecture is a blend of beautifully renovated historical buildings, modern constructions, dilapidated houses, and industrial structures. The people were fantastic. I had no trouble asking for photos or advice. It probably would have been easier to communicate in Kriolu, Portuguese, or French, but English worked in most basic situations.
