And this stop could be just another of hundreds of similar ones, but not in this case ... The hotel creates home comfort from the first seconds! Hanka met us at the reception. She was not only highly professional but also very responsive, friendly and open and was ready to help in every little thing... It's safe to say that she is the perfect face of this place. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and thought out ergonomically… A wonderful view of the old castle from the hotel’s balcony wonderfully complemented the picture… The hotel restaurant was a triumphant addition… Despite the heavy workload for the staff (the hotel is always full), the service made the atmosphere just like home. Tamara and Marina, with their personal, generous and caring approach, made the stay unforgettable. They are the soul of this hotel. The kitchen is just amazing! Even the breakfast at the hotel is far from ordinary…. We wanted to stay for a few more days ... There was enough space in the closets for all our stuff for a 6 day stay. There was a very nice playground right next to the building, and we put a blanket (brought from home) on the grass to sit on and keep an eye on the kids. The whole garden is just amazing, both for playing and relax, and we even saw beavers in the little river behind the fence. Decent breakfast in the morning, and selection of local wines for delight in the afternoon. We really appreciated the little summerhouse in the garden where we could spend evenings protected from wind and mosquitos. If you have an eye for nature, you will see plenty of birds right from the backyard, including woodpeckers and golden orioles. We had an apartment with our own private outdoor hot tub, separated from the rest of the complex, so we could practically walk around naked. The apartment itself was very comfortable, with well equipped kitchen annex and outside dining area. We loved the idea of basket breakfasts, which allowed us to eat whenever and wherever we wanted. Oh, and the wine cellar with individual fully stocked wine coolers for each room: what a splendid idea! The manager is an absolutely friendly and helpful person, he drove us around the village showing all the points of interest, and reserved for us a wine tasting session at the local winery (highly recommendable!). Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border.
Mikulov is a lovely little town close to Austrian border. It is famous for its vineyards and wine tasting facilities. You should definitely walk up to the Mikulov castle and Sv Kopecek hill. Lednice is an easy place to get to. Hey have great accommodations throughout the city. So many things to see and do as within the area. We loved venturing out on our adventures to see other parts of the country. It is very a beautiful area! People are very accommodating and helpful. A small rustic town in wine-growing region of Moravia. Calm environment, nice for doing nothing or doing nothing while drinking large amounts of good wine. Fine area for bike trips or walking trips, beautiful Lednice area just 5km away, many wine cellars around... This was one of the best places we've ever stayed! The village looks like a fairy tale literally. The owner is very friendly. The room quality and furniture is beyond expectations-very clean, well equiped and modern, cozy athmosphere! We felt really welcome. Mikulov is an absolute gem - a magical town that feels...
Mikulov is an absolute gem - a magical town that feels almost transported from Tuscany, rising above the otherwise flat landscape. We stayed for 11 days and could easily have stayed another 2–3 weeks, with so much still left to explore. The food and local wines are wonderful (highly recommend the Palava Fizzante - crisp, semi-dry, and perfect for summer). The town itself enchants with Renaissance houses, the Jewish quarter, and the castle of the Dietrichstein family, while the surroundings offer endless discoveries: Valtice and Lednice palaces, Sv. Kopeček hill, lakes, bike routes, the Turold caves, castle ruins of Děvičky, and even Roman and prehistoric treasures like the Venus of Dolní Věstonice. Beautiful views, warm atmosphere, and countless amenities make this region truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!Guest review byWojciechPoland
