We were glad that the receptionist waited for us for some minutes past 8pm as they finish working at 8pm. We travelled with bicycles and we could safely park then in a closed area within the hotel. All was perfect!

We stayed for one night passing through. We had a perfect night's rest in the hotel. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean. The breakfast buffet had everything you could want. It was ABSOLUTELY perfect. From start to finish a fabulous experience. The explanation on how to get to the hotel is very detailed and clear, the parking is very close to the entrance.     My Husband and I needed a little getaway and we had some kind of expectations, but, all details and things of the hotel were higher than any expectation we had. We had a super super great stay and we really enjoyed every part of the hotel. From Breakfast to Dinner, Wine and Cocktails. From Spa and Wellness to Pool and Sauna.. Everything was just more than great. Also the Massages are really great. They made everything to have us a warm and welcome stay. Sadly we just had 2 days in this Hotel but we surely will be coming back. Huge Thank You. 15/10 !! Ps. Try the 5 Course Menu with a good glas/ bottle of red or white wine. Its not food. Its Art with an good taste in an good atmosphere. Just enjoy the journey. 😊😉

    Good glass of prosecco as a compliment) For breakfast there was no option of white sausages with beer))) - please consider to include white traditional sausages with beer to the breakfast menu, even in case if such option could be considered as redneck but beleive me that a lot of rednecks from Northen countries enjoy such type of the meal and for some reason in Regensburg it is not everywhere.

    Regensburg is an historic medieval city on the Danube - and you can walk around it. Take the little train to tour for an hour. Visit the Thurn and Taxis Museum - you will be amazed. and the Bavarian Museum.

    Small town, not expensive.

    Small town, not expensive. I felt safe walking at night with a couple of friends. The shops on the main street are nice and there is a sprinkling of cafes and fast food shops, adequate number, not very many.

    Map and information provided by tourist information in English. A completely walled town with 13 towers and 4 gates. Most of the buildings within the walls are from 14th and 15th century. A lovely small town to wander in. Large parking area just outside wall.

    Cham is a good place to go to see historical Regensburg for the whole day, and the other day a historical centre of Cham-Janahof was also nice to go through. This hotel is a bit in the middle of nowhere, though there is no problem to reach it by car - some 5 km in the village close to Cham.

    Really nice location and Walhalla is great and Regensburg is definitely worth a visit. Donaustauf is small but you can basically find everything you need. There are a lot of walks and tracks nearby in beautiful nature, The restaurant "Kupferkanne" is a good location to eat just not a lot of veggie stuff but wonderful meat dishes and you can also stay for the night in the hotel.

    Lovely city to have a stop during my drive to a business meeting. City has nice architecture and the Donau river gives the extra touch. Enough possibilities to have a nice lunch and diner. Can recommend Burgerheart when you want some nice American experience. Loved the peer-melon limonade. Went now two year in a row to Regensburg and can't wait for the next one.

    The town of Cham looks like a typical Bavarian town, everything very neat, but it does not seem to have very much to offer. Its surroundings are really stunning, with the Bavarian forest and lots of scenic roads nearby.

    Overall, the city is beautiful and the river setting is wonderful. It's a great city for walking around. You can see it all in a day, but it's better to take your time. There is a lot of historical architecture, from Roman remains, through Medieval and Renaissance styles, up to classical revivalist architecture. The stone bridge, waterways and islands were like a small Prague. It's also a good starting point for the Walhalla and Befreiungshalle monuments, Weltenburg Abbey and various castle ruins. We were disappointed by the Schloss St. Emmeram because it is under major reconstruction and the very large park around it is strictly private with very few possibilities for architectural photography. Perhaps it was better and more suitable as a bishop's palace rather than a private residence. The sausage kitchen was rather overpriced and busy, but there are two limited takeaway options. You have to be careful about driving in the centre, as there is a zone where you need to pay for emissions. We did not know about it until we saw a guest review that mentioned it. If you come by car, you need to be aware of the location of the zone and your hotel to avoid a heavy fine.
