The location is perfect - everything you need is within walking distance: restaurants, small shops, beach, bus station (number 60 goes from the airport), museums (aquarium and technology museum). Rooms are beautiful and clean, there is a smart system which I loved. Breakfast is served on a beautiful roof top where we spent a lot of time - eating and having that morning coffee. Breakfast is delicious and the coffee is great. Staff is really friendly and helpful. If you want the full roof top experience I highly recommend to use the jaccuzzi. You can use it every day for 1 hour with a time reservation on the reception desk!

I arrived outside of reception hours, but there was staff on site when I arrived. They were very helpful with getting me checked in and telling me what was available (Free tea/coffee during the evening night and also breakfast of tea/coffee bread, croissants, fruit, both were unexpected so a pleasant surprise). Also, two complimentary bottles of water in the fridge in the room. The room was clean and fresh, with plush towels. I needed somewhere to stay close to the airport for one night. The location is in a small town about 15 minutes from the airport. I knew this ahead of booking, but it was by far the best accommodation option in close proximity to the airport.

Year-Round Sun, Sea and Surf

The wonderful, year-round climate, great beaches and lively nightlife make Gran Canaria a popular choice for beach holidays in the Canaries. All of these elements are found in Playa del Inglès, the island’s liveliest resort. The water along the sandy beach offer great surfing conditions, as do those at neighbouring Maspalomas.

Large areas of Gran Canaria are of ecological importance and the incredible Maspalomas sand dunes are no exception. Other nature reserves are the forests of the mountainous centre of the island near San Bartolomé. Nearby Agüimes - a peaceful town known for its cave houses – is a short transfer from Gran Canaria Airport.

Visitors also arrive at the island by ferry to Las Palmas, the capital city which sweeps around a narrow piece of land ending in a mountain. Booking.com has a good range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Gran Canaria, but the greatest concentration are in Puerto Rico, a family-friendly resort with 2 beautiful, horseshoe-shaped bays and the Atlantida waterpark.

Also offering a selection of Gran Canaria hotels for families is Puerto de Mogan, known as ‘Little Venice’ because of its canals. Nestled in the volcanic landscape just along the coast is small Playa Taurito, one of many resorts with hotels with waterslides.

We stayed at Club Maspalomas Suites & Spa for one week. The Club has many highlights. Pools. My wife is a swimmer and the swimming pool was great. There is a lap lane dedicated to swimmers and the temperature of the water is perfect, both for swimming and for cooling down after sunbathing. There is also a smaller roof-top spa pool, with higher temperature, for lazier people like me. Gym. The gym is very well equipped, there is everything you need for a complete workout. We trained every day and we enjoyed that. Restaurant. The variety and the quality of the food is outstanding. Among the other things, you can also get fish or meet cooked on the spot by the chefs. Bedroom. We were lucky to be upgraded to the bedroom with an additional outdoor shower and bathtub. Housekeeping was done every day. Staff. Everyone was welcoming and always happy to help and fulfill our requests in timely fashion. A special thank to Ludovico, from public relations, for his kindness and availability. We also had the opportunity to meet with the director of the Club. He is man with a strong motivation and passion; this made clear to us why everyone is so committed in making a good job. We are looking forward to come back.

Exclusive, luxurious, modern hotel. A real retreat and a real treat. At first glance looks like a typical pack em in Spanish hotel but it’s not. It’s exclusive because there are no kids allowed, it’s a bit expensive (but worth it), it is in fact a great piece of stylish modern architecture, with lovely ample rooms and effective air con, great helpful friendly staff with high standards throughout, superb breakfasts, great swimming pool and loved the spa (worth every penny @€20 a go), spectacular rooftop bar and exclusive also because Puerto de Nieves is far from the madding crowds. So away from it all and yet a short walk from the hotel to the charcos (natural sea swimming pools) and harbour (to harbour 15 or so mins on foot and a bit a of a steep path but very do-able and easy under foot). Can’t comment on full board, we ate out at night at the harbour restaurants which were great, plenty of the very best of fresh fish there. I’d recommend a room which is both sea view and pool view above ground floor. Ground floor / poolside (for me) lacks privacy.

We liked very much our stay at Hotel Cordial Morgan Playa. The hotel is big and offers lots of activities and entertainment like bowling, chess and Tennis (even Tennis training is available). The pool was great to swim and relaxing. The food gets a 12 out of 10 (excellent quality and variety). I like very much how they organized the dinner, with different sittings and if you like they assig you a table for the whole stay. The room was big and comfortable. We booked the junior suite and got a big balcony with two loungers and view to the beautiful Chapel garden. Breakfast for the suites was served at the pool restaurant which was also great in both settings and food quality. We liked and enjoyed the hotel very much and can only recommend to anyone looking for the perfect stay in Gran Canaria.

I had a very pleasant stay. I was at the apartment for 12 days and this place is perfect for a long vacation- I could cook and wash my clothes at the apartment. The stuff at the reception is very helpful and nice. The swimming pool is big and there were always free sunbeds. Not to mention there is a parking free of charge, also a supermarket/bowling/darts/billiard center nearby are surely an advantage.

Amazing experience, it's the second year me and my wife are booking this hotel and doesn't disappoint! The area...on the beach...was perfect for our family reunion...

The area...on the beach...was perfect for our family reunion. We ran the gamit from grandparents 83 and 86 to grandchildren 1. 3. 5, 7, 13, 15, and 22. A total of 15. There was something for everyone to do; it didn' t hurt that there was a playground across the malecon.

A nice area....relatively easy to get to the beach via the Dunes. Safe feeling around the area. Some nice restaurants to be found. The Greek Village is very nice and La Candela which is in Yumbo centre. Good shopping too.

We loved to be 10 minutes drive away from the very touristic...

We loved to be 10 minutes drive away from the very touristic area of Maspalomas and instead enjoy the view of maspalomas dune from the mountains. We enjoyed the drive to Pico de Nieves. The mountains are wonderful. Canyons and then pine trees. The view from Pico de Nieves and through the journey there is incredible. The dunes deserve a visit as well as puerto de mogan. But the mountains are a paradise.

This was my second visit to Puerto Rico and I would definitely visit again. It has everything, beach, town, harbour with great facilities for water sports and ferry's to other towns. The town really comes to life at night but the constant pull into the restaurants can become a bit annoying. No shortage of taxis and public transport. It may be busy but easy to drive also, especially if nervous about hiring a car.

The town is very pleasant, not crowded, and the beach is never packed with people. It’s a charming and peaceful place. You’ll find all the amenities you need here : car and bike rentals, restaurants, buses, and more.

A quiet lovely place with stunning flower lined narrow...

A quiet lovely place with stunning flower lined narrow streets, and a relaxing place to stay, lovely beach and harbour front with loads of excellent restaurants, there are a few small bars as well. All in all a beautiful relaxing safe place for a holiday 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

The view is amazing and literally enjoy the sound of tide in the balcony. If you want to have a break time to stay away from the hectic city. It would be a right place to relax. It's nice there is food theme for the meal every day. Food could be better if it is less greasy based on the diet perference.

Great area lots of places to eat, Yumbo centre for people watching & a drink. Everywhere was very clean & everyone welcoming. We went also to Puerto Mogan, lovely village worth the trip, and up into the mountains from Madpolomas to Tejeda very narrow roads.... also recommend the Aquarium at Las Palmas, great day out

we went in may, june would maybe be better?, Maspolomas is a 15 minute walk away and very much more alive, great here if your a golfer.We went to the Yumbo centre most evenings, cheap via taxi and the taxi rank is right outside the villa, First visit to Melonaras and not my last i hope..

This was a great location for our holiday in January.

This was a great location for our holiday in January. Agaete is not a tourist area but has access to walks from the apartment. Driving into the mountains to see tourist attractions and find other walking routes did take sometime due to the winding mountain roads. Great selection of restaurants and cafes within a short walking distance in the harbour area and a short drive to Sardina Nord for a lovely beach.
