Noguera texted us, made us aware and was flexible to change the booking so we could have two Mobile Homes beside each other. The homes were fully equipped with everything you could need. Vielha is located in the center of the Vall d'Aran: one of the most wonderful mountain regions in the area. It is very beautiful, no matter the season. Don't miss walking around the historic city center, just one block away! We used this location as a jumping off spot to visit Andorra, which worked really well. Our room had a lovely mountain view. Sort is a busy place for rafting and river activities, it was charming once but now some modern buildings have made the town rather ugly. It is perfect if you want to go and do nature activities. Espot is a lovely town on a mountain river. Its half-dozen restaurants are all within 50m of each other, and prices were half what you'd pay in Barcelona. The summer hiking is spectacular, but limited to two valleys. If you want to visit other parts of the park, you may want to split your stay between Espot and Boi. We stopped here as a convenient place to stay as we travelled west to east through the Pyrenees. El Pont de Suert is a bit of a “one horse town” and everything was closed on Wednesday and not much open on a Thursday either. It is not an attractive town. It is convenient to visit the Val de Boi, which is stunning but we should have travelled on to Vielha to stay, as it was only 20km further on. Small town with all facilities. An ideal base for touring the area. Two large lakes within easy travel with watersports.Plenty of cafes.Supermarket - Esclat- has a small bakery at the entrance but the supermarket itself is not very well stocked and not a great range of foods. We didn't intentionally choose to stay in Balaguer, as we were looking for lodging in Lleida, and La Casa del Miracle in Balaguer appeared as an option. (excellent place to stay). Bellver de Cerdanya is a beautiful village right at the heart of the Pyrenees! It is definitely a place you should stay and/or visit. There is only enough for a day trip. The old cathedral is beautiful especially the cloister. Great views and lots of history. However the rest of the town is a bit lacking in sights and interest and in places feels threatening. The modern parts of the town are nicer.
