Excellent vibe about the hotel and bar, very friendly petrol station just across that helped us out with a tyre, cute little botanic gardens just across the river with excellent information. Staff super friendly and food rich and tasty. Garage parking perfect for a smallish car.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating, special dietary wishes were catered well. The hotel itself was beautiful and the room was modern and very cosy. The surroundings were beautiful, the hotel at the outskirts of a small village. The road going past the hotel was very quiet. The staff spoke English, which was a blessing for someone whose French is nothing to write home about.

Hostal Rural Irigoienea is in Urdax, 5 minutes’ drive from the French border. It is a converted 18th-century country house with free Wi-Fi and a porch overlooking a large garden.

The staff were very accommodating and helped me with things around town as I needed to buy some stamps etc. Really helpful and again... even with the language barrier. The room was really beautiful and I could not have asked for more.

This hotel has everything - ambience, comfort, modern facilities, gracious hosts. the property was historical but with modern updates. the pool was perfect. when we arrived, tired from a long day of hiking, Laurence suggested changing our room to one with a bath so we could soak our tired feet. so thoughtful! The food at the restaurant was fantastic too. The chef puts both heart and ingenuity into his dishes.
