Cute, quaint little town for a couple days.
Cute, quaint little town for a couple days. I had never heard of it before this trip, wasn't expecting to like it so much. Walking the historic streets, browsing the shopping, the old Wooden church, it was a great couple days.Guest review byRay SavardaUnited States - 6.0

I was in Deauville for the Bridge Festival, so chose the location for that reason. However, I would say that some of the restaurants in Deauville are not great value or quality and prefer to eat in Trouville where there is better choice and value in my opinion. It is all down to personal taste, obviously many wealthy Parisians and foreign visitors like to be in Deauville, for the beach and top hotels. Relative to Trouville it is quite smart, but Trouville is more lively and overall more interesting. Next time, I will stay in Trouville although it is more of a walk to the casino.Guest review byChrisUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Ouistreham is a ferry port - it is a small town, but a useful starting point for visiting attractions in the surrounding area. The Normandy landings beaches and sites that have associations with William the Conqueror are all easily reached from here. There are good fish restaurants in Ouistreham itself and in nearby coastal villages.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Close to the Normandy beaches, which was the reason for our visit to see the Standing with Giants silhouettes. Easy access to supermarket + as we had 2 dogs, there was an English speaking vet nearby to complete the formalities for return to UK.Guest review bySARAUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Looking online, Port-en-Bessin seemed a scenic little fishing port. Research showed lots of restaurants in close proximity of hotels. However visitors need to aware that almost the whole town closes on Sunday evenings and all of Monday making it difficult to find the ideal meal on those days. Also not impressed with restaurant quality - more like cafes -with little sophisticated dining opportunities - Moules and Burgers dominate most menus!Guest review byWallace
