Everything was just perfect. A very large double family room. Fabulous recently restored big shower in the bathroom. Room and bathroom perfectly clean. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Super breakfast with lot of things (bread, croissants and pan au chocolate served fresh every morning) and served at table. Had dinner there 3 on 4 evening and all was deliciuos and fresh coocked. Restaurant of the hotel where also breakfast is served on a lovely terrace put on the river. Very relaxing atmosphere in the trees...we'll return for sure!

The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet part of the village, surrounded by tall trees and it feels like an old family bastide. We loved the pool too and hearing the cicadas around us. The children loved playing in the hotel park. Breakfast had plenty of locally sourced food and everything was fresh and tasty.

What a lovely calm and quiet location but still close to a few cities with enough to do. Just an amazing view combined with an absolutely lovely swimming pool and a 5 star worthy service by the family that runs it. They don't have a restaurant but they offer snacks that are bistro chique and delicious. The hotel vibe is best described as classic Parisian lounge with a Italian twist.

FAQs about hotels in Var

Sunny Greetings from Sandy Beaches

Part of the French Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the Var is famous for its sunny sea resorts, great wine and Romanesque and medieval architecture. With picturesque landscape, plenty of sunshine hours and delicious cuisine, this Mediterranean region is a top tourist destination.

Var’s capital, Toulon, is France’s 2nd-largest naval port and a city on the rise. After years of neglect, it is now thriving with nightlife, undergoing vast revitalisation processes and offering great transport connections. West of Toulon there are popular towns of Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer with popular beaches and Bandol, famous for its exquisite wine.

To the east of the capital lies the most famous resort in Var, Saint-Tropez, filled with cafés, white yachts and wealthy tourists. Most of its sandy beaches offer watersports activities and some are very popular among naturists.

North of Saint-Tropez there is another great beach destination, Sainte-Maxime, where not only can you enjoy jet-skiing and sunbathing, but also play a round or 2 of golf on one of the 8 golf courses in the village’s area.

Whether you’re travelling with just beach relaxation on your mind or looking for a more active holiday with attending local farmer markets and admiring the remains of buildings from the past long gone, visit Booking.com and check out its special offers for boutique, luxury and cosy hotels.

The location is just beautiful with great views of the sea and beach on your doorstep. Great food across all parts of the hotel, breakfast, main restaurant for dinner and a choice of the pool bar or beach restaurant for lunch. The team are very welcoming and attentive with a great eye on personal service. Wonderful to also see the hotel manager Stephenie meeting and greeting everyone on a daily basis across the day. The rooms and terrace make the most of the location and full markers for a comfortable, spacious bed with quality linen too.

Our room was very large, comfortable and tastefully decorated using high quality materials. Everything inside the buildings of the hotel complex emanated a rich yet discrete atmosphere of comfort. No bling-bling here! The sauna/pool area was very welcoming and spotlessly clean. Outside, there are many walks and cycle tracks to explore vineyards, forests and the open countryside. The personell were friendly and helpful.

Easy to walk around - not so much a tourist city, although there seem to be plenty of tourists there because of the ferry. Great harbour, Marine museum and little ferry rides. Find your way to Saint-Asile for a great (moules and profiteroles) meal next to a wondrous little beach.

Safe area, lots to see, great beaches, weather in October...

Safe area, lots to see, great beaches, weather in October was cooler and it wasn't crowded. Transit was good, especially the ferry service with Toulon area. We enjoyed the short hikes in the area, the murals in La Seyne, the old town in La Seyne center, and the beaches in Sablettes. We enjoyed stopping into grocery stores and picking up baguettes and meats and cheeses for an impromptu picnic at the seaside as we hiked around the town or explored coastal trails. There is shopping in Toulon which is only a short ferry ride away that can be a good day trip. We also liked the telepherique in Toulon and the hikes at the top of the hill. Geocaching in La Seyne is also fun, there are very good earth cache's there and we enjoyed those.

Enjoyed swimming, walking along the sea front and the ports and having coffee overlooking the sea front. Didn’t really see the uphill historic part, which I regret. The Tourist office at Saint Raphael was helpful as I needed a bus timetable. I’d say you need to be reasonably fit ( or have a car) to stay in the area I was in as in fact buses were few and far between so I did a lot of walking. I was on an Interrail pass so also enjoyed a little side trip out to Nice, which has good and frequent rail links with Saint Raphael.

It's simply wonderful.

It's simply wonderful. The town is just the right size, not too big yet not too small. All the facilities are within walking distance. There are lots of bars, reataurants and shops, including supermarkets. The beach is great, too. It's not overcrowded. The prices in some eatieries might seem too high, but it's possible to find some affordable places.
