We didn't had the time to have breakfat, our plane was at 7, but everything was perfect, good location not far from airport and town center. Room very clean and service attended, the staff has also been very handy. Beds are very good. Perfect experience!

New, clean facility, matches to pictures, excellent wooden furniture, comfortable bed, breakfast was really tasty, not noisy, friendly staff. We received excellent check-in instructions as we arrived very late from the airport while at another hotel we had to cancel our reservations because of this. The food was fantastic and the attention to my wife's allergies by the maitre'd and the chef made everything even better. Centuries of History, Days of Sunshine

The largest Greek island, mountainous Crete has stunning beaches, plenty of history and as much or little nightlife as you want. Party town Malia has many bars, clubs and restaurants on its Strip.

Along the coast is the capital Heraklion, a bustling city home to many Crete hotels on the beach, and a Venetian castle guarding its port. Its archaeological museum includes finds from the island’s Minoan era, while just inland are the Roman remains of Knossos.

Also boasting a Venetian castle is Rethymnon, a popular resort with a good number of Crete hotels with private pools on Booking.com. Loggerhead turtles nest in season on the sandy beaches here and at Chania, an important port with an attractive waterfront set against the backdrop of mountains.

On the other side of the island is Aghios Nikolaos, a small fishing town with a picturesque harbour. Just north is Elounda, a popular family resort, and offshore is Spinaloga island, inspiration behind the book ‘The Island’. Matala in the south has a bohemian vibe and intriguing cliff dwellings, while Paleokastro in the east borders Europe’s largest palm forest at Vai.

    We loved every minute of our stay. From the minute we walked in, we loved it. I believe it is the most beautiful reception I have ever seen - the ocean as a backdrop is just picture perfect. The lobby smelled amazing and we were welcomed in the most hospitable manner. The service was outstanding - it was more than the usual friendly and polite service, everyone made us feel welcome and well taken care of. They service we experienced was true hospitality with heart. The breakfast had the most amazing selection. The views all around the resort are incredible - starting from the lobby, to the room, to the pool, we loved that you could see the ocean from almost every angle.     The beach and the sea are just lovely. The pools and the grounds are great. The food is delicious, and you can never go hungry with the all-inclusive option. On a parenting side note, We had two transfers to a nearby clinic for a pediatric visit. All was organized in minutes by the front desk and the hotel doctor without any hassle. We also weren't charged for the extended checkout, which was very thoughtful, considering our daughter wasn't feeling well then. Thank you Creta Maris. We'll definitely come back soon!

    The room was spectacular, large, light and comfortable. Huge king-size bed with a single as well. Outdoor space was lovely, two sun loungers, two chairs, two tables and an umbrella. Then the pool! Staff were so friendly and kind everywhere. The food was brilliant, lots of choice and different places to eat. We had a birthday on our last day, 4 cakes were offered!     The Old Town of Chania is a great place to wander around, there are so many little streets lined with local restaurants, cafe's, craft shops, clothing and of course local food and drink. In the main, all the restaurants served quite similar food including Cretan Specials, but with their own individual twist to it. If you like Italian for a change, Veneto Ristorante Italiano is the one to go for, but you should book in advance if you want a specific time and no waiting around. This not just a Pizza restaurant, all their food is excellent and the waiters are a pleasure to deal with, so is the owner himself, quite a character. If you like historic locations, then this is a little gem, the Venetian Port/Harbour including lighthouse is a nice walk, also plenty of Bar / Restaurants to quench your this or hunger. In summary, this is a great place to relax in, take a boat trip or just have a wander, glad we chose Chania Old Town, it was a great week.

    Heraklion town is an interesting place.

    Heraklion town is an interesting place. We did hop on hop off bus but there was not lot to see. We visited Knossos palace . We felt 3 days was ample . On our next visit we may visit the other towns in Crete.

    It was about a ten minutes walk uphill part way to Koutouloufari, loads of restaurants and bars, a fabulous experience. Walk a little further and you come to Piscopiano, also excellent. Walk down the hill and you come to restaurants with Greek dancing and plate smashing, also excellent.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos.

    We loved Agios Nicolaos. It’s a bustling port town but still small enough around the port area to be lovely. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from. We did a boat trip to Spinalonga, which was excellent. We also took a cab to visit Plaka and Elounda and another to Kritsa the following day.

    Kissamos offered us a wonderful mix of relaxation and local charm. The nightlife was a pleasant surprise, with cozy bars and lively tavernas where we enjoyed delicious food and drinks. Evening walks through the town square and the nearby streets filled with local shops and traditional products were some of the highlights of our stay. It's a great place for couples looking for a laid-back yet authentic Cretan experience.

    Malia is a great base for exploring eastern Crete,as it is well served by public transport,car hire is easy and reasonable,but if you just want to eat,drink ,sunbathe and play in a pool,on a beach or in a club or bar it is great too.

    Difficult to judge because we came early in the season when there was a cold wind blowing and not all the places were open. However, there didn't seem to be many places to eat [not a problem for us as there was one excellent place, though would be a problem peak season] . There were a number of apparently abandoned and ill-maintained buildings, which made the place appear less attractive.

    Palaiochora is a little piece of Paradise.

    Palaiochora is a little piece of Paradise. Fantastic beaches , food and scenery. We hired a car and drove around the area, a little scary as the roads in the mountains are rather challenging. We hope to return to this very romantic location some day .

    lovely holiday spot, plenty of shops and restaurants, everyone extremely friendly and helpful. About an hour from airport, went to spinalonga and did a few walks, also did the 4 hour train ride which was lovely to see mountains, bit of history etc, wasnt too hot. Both of the bays were good and safe for swimming - one of them a bit pebbly getting in, the other was fine. Supermarkets well stocked. Elounda is flat so easy for walking although pavements a little bumpy. All very accessible and walkable
