Travel Back in Time
Known for its crystal clear azure waters and impressive winds, the beautiful tourist destination of Naxos is the largest and greenest island of the Cyclades. This unique place is a popular choice with watersports and history lovers.
Composed of Venetian and Cycladic elements, the traditional old town of Naxos (also known as Chora) has an imposing Venetian castle. Built in the 6th century BC and dedicated to Apollo, the iconic marble gate of Portara is located just outside the town, overlooking the Aegean Sea.

- From US$77.59 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 1,246 reviewsThe self service buffet breakfast was brilliant! The owners provide such a varied breakfast each morning -- with daily changes in what's available to eat. They had thought of everything! It was delicious. The room was so clean! The pool was an added bonus and the little garden too. The staff are very helpful & pleasant. The location - just a tiny way out of Naxos town brings with it ...peace & quiet. As the hotel is in a residential area, it felt very safe too. You can walk into Naxos town in 10 mins. We loved it there ! We will revisit!Guest review byYvonneUnited Kingdom
- From US$105.49 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 797 reviewsEverything! The apartment was beautiful and clean. We had two bedrooms and a big balcony/terrace. Also the kitchen was well equipped (for ex. fridge-freezer )enough to cook simple meals. Also the washing machine was useful in two weeks’ holiday. The owner was really helpful and the hospitality was very touching. We also liked the location in a quiet neighborhood among the locals. Still short walk to the beach, port and town. Wifi was good. And the cherry on a top: breakfast basket every morning straight to the door! We’ll definately meet again!Guest review bySusannaFinland
- From US$54.43 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 170 reviewsOur stay was more than perfect. It was actually much more than just accommodation; it was an experience we will never forget. The owners are incredible, genuinely good people, attentive to every detail, and with small gestures of kindness and attention, they made our honeymoon even more special. The hotel has a perfect location, close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. The room is super comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed, and we couldn't recommend this hotel more. Maria and Nikko, thank you so much!Guest review byMahíraIreland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 608 reviewsWe absolutely loved our stay here. The place is like a resort with pool, spa and other facilities. In case you don’t rent a car, don’t worry, there is a bus stop which has a name of the property itself “hotel naxos palace” - everybody in Naxos knows about this hotel. The stuffs were friendly and responsive. The room was big, comfortable and clean. Our room was cleaned properly everyday during our stay and new towels were given in every 2 days.Guest review byMirza TareqGermany
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 109 reviewsThe location is perfect! Just a few minutes from the local beach and also from the old town. The owner, Mr Fanis was great! There was a Supermarket 2 min down the street with everything you needed for the day. Across the street from the Supermarket was Tony's rent a car, where we met great people which rented us a nice Fiat 500 cabrio for touring the island! We also got a discount because we stayed at Hotel Rea.Guest review byRomeoRomania

The bathroom was amazing, and the terrace provided a truly private experience. The beach and bus stop are conveniently located, and there is a well-equipped supermarket nearby. Agia Anna is a charming village with numerous restaurants and cafes to explore.Guest review byMichaelaSlovakia

Lovely and lively port with plenty of bars and restaurants Beach was beautiful with easy access to the sea and good quality beach bars and restaurants at a reasonable price but sun beds are all overpriced at 45 euros.Guest review byneilUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I recommend hiring a quad bike to explore more beaches and the inland areas. This location is very good for if you have a quad bike as you can travel between the old town and the beaches along the coast on the other side, as well as inland. Quad hire is very reasonably priced and the company we used is very nearby. This is a lovely peaceful area. Groceries are a little expensive and there is a bigger supermarket than the one on the corner that has some more options. There are many lovely restaurants a very short walk from the accommodation, along the beach. A few have seating on the actual sand which is really special and romantic for couples.Guest review byHavard - 10.0

Relaxing town on the coast of Naxos, good restaurants close by, all walkable. Plenty of options for beach bars and sun loungers. Definitely quiet in the off season and everything starts to close from the start of October. Not easy to get to and from the port if you don't hire a car (bus not super reliable, 20 Euros for a taxi but some try to charge more). This isn't a problem if you just want to rest by the beach for the week but probably more ideal for those looking to hire a car and explore the island as well.Guest review byFelicityAustralia - 10.0

Mikri Vigla is a quiet town with a couple bakeries and restaurants. Beautiful sunsets and beaches, but you should have a car / moped to get around. The bus from Naxos Chora is infrequent and drops off at the beach, not the town proper.Guest review byDanielUnited States - 10.0

Stelida is a purpose built hilltop penninsula for accomodation and walking distance to a lovely beach if the north wind is not blowing. Only two restaurant options to walk to at night but it has easy access to hill towns and beaches to the south by car. It's out of the hectic vibes of Naxos Town and very quiet at night so a good night sleep is ensured!Guest review byVICTORIAUnited States - 10.0

We liked the premises and quiet sandy beach. There is free parking on premise and some very good restaurants nearby. Make sure that when you get the sea view room, you ask for the direct and not the side views room.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Vivlos is conveniently located about ten minutes from Naxos Town and roughly the same to local beaches. There are four or five local taverna's selling simple, good value, Greek food. The bakery is excellent and there is also a small supermarket and butchers. It's a good base from which to explore the island with walking trails marked out from thereGuest review bySarahUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Hotel was difficult to find. It didn't show on Google maps. Eventually found out about 100 meters north out of town where one market is directly across the street from another market. The market on the right out of town essentially checks you in.Guest review byJohnBUnited States - 10.0

Loved the historical sites nearby and driving up into the mountain villages. There were excellent beaches nearby and we caught the public bus's to them, which were frequent and easy to use. Great food and lots of excellent restaurants within walking distance, explore the inner laneways. We hired a small car and managed well with the mountain roads but dont attempt if not confident, as many areas are narrow essentially single track with passing places and you do have to negotiate with a fair few coaches, in places.Guest review byMikeAustralia
