United KingdomAbsolute gem. Love everything about this place. Location right on the edge of a forest and was not hesitating to take an evening walk. While sitting in the outside area a deer has run across the yard. Very quite and peaceful area with birds chirping all day long. Excelent for nature retreat. Have no words when it comes to quality, comfort and cleanliness. Very modern, kitchen equipped beyond my imagination (there was even a dishwasher!), comfy beds, and everything spottles clean. Central heating on made it so cozy. Friendly hosts. Go explore city surroundings areas. Was lucky to find you guys! Will definitely look forward for next stay sometime. Thank you.

We really enjoyed the view and quietness of the surrounding area. The Tree House had all facilities we could wish for, including a hot shower, comfortable bed and a fully equipped kitchen outside, including an open fire grill on the terrace! Living in a big city, this accommodation enabled us to relax and recharge during the 2 days (and nights) we stayed. Would recommend the Tree House to anyone! Apart from the accommodation, Alen was a really kind host who warmly welcomed us the day we arrived.

Location is practical and has a great view over the river, such a unique breakfast spot. Rooms and bathrooms are perfectly clean and large, and beds very comfortable. Late check in was smooth and not problematic, and the owner gave great recommendations for local visits and beaches. A wonderful nature museum is in a building across the Vila.

i love the terrace.
i sat there for hours watching the clouds. it is such a beautiful scenery. you have the hills in the back the forest close to you and then the play out of the clouds…
the owner was very nice and helpful. she showed me around and explained what there is around and how to manage to explore the surroundings.

We stayed overnight on the way from Istria to the Zagreb airport. History is interesting and setting in Gorski Kotar is very pleasant. Very convenient location and nice small town. Parking lot is small and was full but the front desk was very helpful and told us to just park in the bus spot.

You definitely need a car.
You definitely need a car. It's nice to visit different places, little museums and many walking and hiking paths. During the summer it's great, because it's not so warm as in the cities. During the winter if there's enough snow, you can go skiing, nordic skiing or just walk through the snow. Not many cafes or restaurants in Ravna Gora, so you might have to go some place else to eat.

A wonderful place to visit in the summer. Not too crowded, with plenty of things to do. I walked around all the lakes, climbed Preradovićev vrh and visited Spilja Vrelo. All that with my dog who was welcome everywhere. Great coffee at Infinity bar on a beautiful terrace in the city centre and an amazing grilled cheese sandwich in Royal food (next to Infinity). For an excellent cup of coffee and a slice of cheesecake visit Čoka by the lake Bajer, on the waterfront.

Prekrasno malo mjesto. Odlična lokacija za planinarenje. U blizini se nalazi planinarski dom "Bijele stijene" u kojem se može dobiti ukusan ručak/večera. Savjet: pri polasku na planinarsku turu najavite vlasnicima doma svoj dolazak na ručak/večeru.

Nice village in the middle of Gorski Kotar.
Nice village in the middle of Gorski Kotar. Perfect location for visiting mountains and forests. There is large lake right next to the village which provides very nice scenery and perfect location to watch stars in the moonless nights. In addition, there is very large cave in the village called Lokvarka which has very big and spacious galleries.

The small town is ideally placed in the middle of the Gorski Kotar region -- all the important sightseeing places and destinations (the sources of the Kupa river, the Lokve lake, the Lokvarka Cave, the Golubinjak Forest...) are within driving distance. There are plenty of places where one can have great time and find refuge from the summer heat. The restaurants are a little bit overpriced but offer tasty local specialties.

Lokve is a great location to explore Gorski Kotar from. Many natural attractions are nearby like Golubinjak forest, Kamacnik canyon and Risnjak national park.
Also, within a 20 minute drive there are many restaurants to choose from.

Many things to see in the area, it just depends if you want...
Many things to see in the area, it just depends if you want to stay at one location and explore from there or move every day to a new place.
The tourist office had all the wrong information so double check on their info. Lokvarsko lake is quiet a nice walk, and the Kupa river source is something worth seeing. Couldnt check out the cave because of the working days.
