This place is just wow! Best value/price accomodation ever been. Super organized parking and boat transport to the island. The room was spacious, extra-extra clean, and well-equipped. Wide selection for breakfast, juices, coffee, everything what you need. The staff was extremly friendly, and helpful big respect to them. Plenty of opportunities for both children and adults. In our many decades of travel, we have rarely encountered a hotel experience as close to perfect as this one. Maistra has a number of hotels in and around Rovinj, all of them no doubt excellent, all of them quite different from each other. Their Grand Park hotel offers the big 5-star experience. Their Island Istra resort offers remoteness and tranquility. The Adriatic is just 18 rooms in the heart of the Old Town and offers the sort of exclusive boutique experience that we most enjoy. You are steps from restaurants of the best quality. The historic town boardwalk starts right outside the front door. The hotel itself, small as it is, has two bars and a restaurant serving fine cuisine. We had some of the best breakfasts of our lives sitting outside on the front terrace people‑watching as locals strolled by in the charming square in front of us. The exterior architecture dates from the Renaissance era and is steeped in character. The interiors are all fully renovated, well designed, cozy and luxurious. Don't expect gyms, swimming pools, multiple eating options or the like. Such things are available in the Grand Park. This one is a boutique hotel. Keep those expectations in line.

We rested at Maistra Select Amarin Resort with family for 10 days in early September. The large two-story room had everything you need: two bedrooms, a kitchen with a large living room with a full set of dishes and kitchen equipment. The room was clean and towels changed daily. The great advantage of the hotel are a huge area, large beaches - open and in pine trees, a large warm bay, a great view of the Rovinj. Perhaps this is one of the best options in Croatia.

Believe the reviews, Christian & his staff go above & beyond to make this great place wonderful. They work so hard. Just a 12 min walk to the centre, very easy and Christian has bikes available which was brilliant for us, you see so much more. Lovely cycle path South of Rovinj which hugs the coast for miles. Loads of places to swim. We'll be back if we can, for sure. Don't hesitate to book it's a wonderful hotel.

Our second stay was as perfect as the first one. The place is ideal for families with kids. The camping is big but not crowded and we could find private spots by the see not far from camp. The mobile homes are clean and well equipped. The staff is helpful.

The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone.

The town was perfect size so walking is easy for everyone. Please note the cobbled streets can be a little slippery so fancy high heeled shoes are a No-No! The local people are kind and friendly and everyone is catered for. Little tip:- book restaurants early to avoid disappointment not obtaining a reservation.

Nice quiet little stone Istrian town full of charm and history. It is nicely located for easy access to Rovinj and Pula. It is also a great starting point for biking as well. You must dine at the La Grisa restaurant and Borghetto restaurant.

This is not a tourist location but a small peaceful village. There are a couple of cafe/bar/pizza joints & two small supermarkets. The countryside on the outskirts of the village was lovely & rural. It's only 15 minutes from Rovinj.

I liked the chance to find a beach that suits you, wheather you like bigger rocks, sand, natural shade, more hidden parts... There are many options for short trips with children by car: Cape Kamenjak, Aquarium Pula, Dinopark Funtana, Safari Brioni, or just evening trip to beautiful Fažana. You can visit points, like Sv. Foška or old military forts along the coast.

It is very convenient for us that Bale is somewhere in the middle between Pula and Rovinj, also many great sights to see such as Kamenjak, also a lof of small islands to visit. We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and it was much too short! Could visit for a month.

Barbariga has many cheap and good open restaurants and pubs .... Barbariga and old Barbariga is a some kind of holiday resort for familys with children and many wild and also arranged beaches with many trees with natural shadow and arranged 2,5 wide path. You can reach everything around in 0,5 to 3 km distance by foot, bicycle or a car.

Bale is located within driving distance to bigger tourist attractions (Pula, Brijuni/Fazana, Rovinj are 20-25 min away), which makes it close enough to explore and far enough to avoid noise and crowds. I loved its location, because it is also convenient for outdoor activities (proximity of sea, biking, hiking). I loved the old city, cobbled streets, beautiful vistas. I would recommend it equally to those looking for an active vacation experience or to those just looking to relax.
