This was an amazing place to stay. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was down a gang (small street/alley way) which made it a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Breakfast was excellent and catered to my celiac/GF needs. Pool was always clean and refreshing. Excellent value. We were in Canggu for a wedding and ended up having 3 more couples move their accommodation to Amandaya. We would not hesitate to stay here again and in fact it would be our first choice.

Probably one of the best places to stay in Bingin. The place is beautiful, just a few minutes walk from the beach and the staff is lovely and super attentive. Breakfast is the best and more complete is Bali - I stayed in several locations in Bali and couldn’t find a breakfast like this (not even close) in any other place.

An Island Dream

The dream destination of Bali is where volcanic landscape meets lush rice terraces and pristine beaches. Not to mention the fantastic surfing, cheap shopping and pervading spirituality that have made this Indonesian island a long-time favourite for backpackers.

    On arrival the staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks and some cold towels and a hand made flower necklace. Check in was seamless and we were offered free lunch to use over our stay. The staff brought our bags to our room and we were told about the facilities and how to contact reception etc. They also provided a mozzie plug in. Our room came with lots of snacks and drinks. The view from the room was amazing, our into the rain forest, absolutely stunning. Our private pool also had this same view, amazing, it blew our minds. The main pool also has this same view! The bathroom was gorgeous with a huge bath and a shower and plenty of space for our suitcases etc. The bed was super comfortable! The landscaping of the gardens around the rooms is amazing so nice to walk around and take it all in. We also received a massage in the onsite spa and it was so good and relaxing, definitely recommend.

    I don't even know where to start... I was really looking forward to staying at Gravity, and I was not disappointed. Everything was just perfect! The whole area of the hotel gave off such a pleasant vibe that it was hard to leave, even for a day. I would have loved to spend the entire time there because the team is so friendly and helpful, always ready to serve drinks and food. Not to mention how beautiful the whole hotel is… We will definitely be back soon. In the meantime, stay all well and keep the flag flying high.     I LOVED my stay at this hotel. I would definitely come back. I cannot give them more stars. The staff is EXCEPTIONAL! The pool and room were amazing and comfortable. It's central to the main beach area. There are many restaurants with various meal options. The breakfast which was prepared was so fresh and delicious. The pool is well kept and the water temperature was always great. First time in Bali and this location was amazing. The room size is also much bigger than expected. It fit 3 adults comfortably.

    Canggu is a party place more than sightseeing. The beach close is quite nice (also for surfing) and in the night you can go close to the beach to visit some bars and clubs. The vibe is constantly there. You can also join some local hostel events and meet people there which is nice. More of a young people place, but always worth a visit.

    Seminyak is such a relaxing and vibrant place — great beaches, lovely cafes, and a calm atmosphere that makes it perfect for unwinding. The local people are friendly, and there are plenty of nice spots to enjoy good food and sunsets. However, it was disappointing to see quite a bit of rubbish around the area, especially near the beach and streets. It would be even more amazing if the cleanliness could be improved, as the place truly deserves it.

    Uluwatu is much more expensive and luxury compared to the rest of Bali. The place is under a massive construction renovation, there are construction site everywhere so it will be very different in a couple of years. We enjoyed our 4 days there but there is definetly less activities except for luxurious cliff restaurant and beach clubs.

    I like the Sanur area of Bali for its combination of beach front activities and shops / cafes. Due to traffic, it can be a hectic drive from the airport, but in my opinion with the challenges of getting there. Additionally, Sanur is near the ferry dock for access to offshore islands (Nusa Penida and the Gili islands). If departing to go to the airport, leave plenty of time for the drive to the airport and it may be a lot longer than planned,

    Unfortunately , NP seems to have far too many visitors for what the road infrastructure can handle . The roads to all the local sightseeing hotspots are not wide enough for oncoming vehicle to pass each other without driving on the shoulder of the road ( if it exists ) and constantly causing further damage ,. The roads surfaced are very badly broken a terribly pot- holed . Vehicle journeys to the popular destinations take an inordinately long time with traffic banked up while cars try to pass each other when they can . On the plus ; the restaurants and beach clubs and bars serve excellent food and live music nightly was easy to find . And entertaining . The coastline scenery is fantastic . Itis why so many people make trip . The fast ferry services from Sanur to NP are very good and only 30 minutes .

    We liked the central location in Legian.

    We liked the central location in Legian. Hawkers should not attend hotel, this is rest time from shopping and bartering. Pad on Bene was our favourite place to eat anytime. Good food.Fat Tony’s burgers great. Water BOM amazing, our son went 4 times during our stay with great water slides. Traffic congestion to Changu and Ubud was horrendous. Took 2 hours for such a small distance.

    Sleepy island feels make Lembongan feel like a wonderful...

    Sleepy island feels make Lembongan feel like a wonderful contrast to the expansion of Bali. Just enough development to provide some comforts and wellness, some great quality food etc - but still the old charm of the basics to enjoy. The nervous system reset when you need clean oceans, white sands and rustic experiences. The island has really cleaned up a lot in the last few years and you can refill water bottles in most places now; there’s a conscious feeling of preservation there which I appreciate a lot when travelling. Some fairly new developments to increase the accessibility and ease of travel with road improvements make life easier for a lot of travellers - and some fairly good gym and yoga locations appearing which is a great addition to the experience of the island.

    Nusa dua was too isolated for family fun with young kids . We had divided our stay in Symniak and nusa but nusa was too far for evening life , food and fun activities for kids . We enjoyed Kuta and symniak area far more with lots to do for kids .
