Style, decoration, staff and location are some of the best features of this hotel. We were transiting in Jakarta and chose The Orient solely because it was near the MRT Station and Benhil. Haven't heard of it before, nor my friends in Jakarta. We thought there are actually only appartements here. As we arrived, the staff were very friendly. Upgraded us to one of the most spacious hotel rooms in Jakarta we have ever seen :). He showed as around and explain about all the facilities (Pools, Bars, Restaurtant, Library, Gym, etc). There is pool on 5th floor and then another one on the rooftop which also host a jacuzzi. Rooftop bar has some of the best view of Jakarta skyline and drinks+snacks are also great. The comfortable room was nicely decorated, nice amenities and the matress was great! Breakfast menu+buffet is one of the best :). We really liked the hotel that on the way back, we went to The Orient again, and cancel our booking on another hotel!

This hotel is simply out of this world. We stayed in a lot of very good hotels in the world, but we think that Park Hyatt Jakarta is the best one we have stayed in. The staff in Park Hyatt has been extremely polite and always super helpful. The food and especially the lavish and super delicious Breakfast buffet was really outstanding. Both gym and Spa area are very well equipped and excellently maintained.

The Gran Mahakam is not just any hotel. Even the taxi driver called it a legend in Jakarta. When you first enter, you think of a scene from Kevin Alone at Home. Everything is dignified, the furnishings and the building are wonderfully classic. Like a grand hotel in Vienna. But there is one small difference. Just as the Gran is missing the fifth letter in its name, everything in the Gran Mahakam is a little smaller. The entrance hall, the square in front of the hotel, the pool on the roof. But that was never a problem for me. There are other things that I haven't seen anywhere else. Ironed and daily changed shower curtains, a small in-house clinic or personalised surprises for a guest's birthday. Also worth mentioning is the favourable location in the middle of an incredible selection of excellent restaurants, all within walking distance. But the most important thing that the Gran Mahakam has that sets it apart from most other good hotels: It has character, a kind of personality, or let's just call it a soul. The wonderful thing about this hotel is the people who work here. And it's not primarily about the fact that I, as a guest, am addressed with exemplary friendliness by each and every one of them. The most important thing is the team spirit of the staff. The colleagues work as a team. At the Gran Mahakam, there is only one ‘we’. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management for this. This is only possible if the demands placed on employees are feasible and not superhuman, as is unfortunately all too often the case. And when the focus is not on profit, but on satisfied guests. There is no doubt that the Gran Mahakam rightly bears this title: We are one of the Best Hotels in the World. Leaving now feels like a loss. I will definitely be back.

There’s something for everyone, from local dishes to Western classics. Everything tastes amazing and the service is top-notch. If you’re looking for a great hotel in Jakarta, Hotel Borobudur is definitely worth checking out.

I arrived late for check in and was greeted with a warm smile. Had difficulty using the card to get into the room and the staff was super fast in assisting me on this. Getting a bite at that hour was easy as they had a McD just along the same building. As it was a short stay as I had to catch the first train to Bandung, it was relatively a smooth check out process. Will definitley stay here again.

Eventho no luggage trolley for the guest but they provide an assistance to pick my items from the room to the entrance area. 4. In-house spa and massage (chargeable). Had only had a chance to stay in Jakarta.

Had only had a chance to stay in Jakarta. The Pondok mall is very nice. Traffic is so horrible there. Takes forever to get from one place to another. Didn't get a chance to go anywhere because of the traffic issue.

I can't say anything negative about this hotel! I love and appreciate the staff from security, front desk, and restaurant staff to room service. The breakfast is fantastic, with many options. My family and I will definitely return.

It's a clean city with something for everyone, shopping,...

It's a clean city with something for everyone, shopping, entertainment and incredible food. I used grab to go everywhere cheaply and although everything is pretty close by geographically the traffic slows things down during peak times. I found a nice western bar called Eastern Promise that had a pool table and have made many friends there, both locals, expats and holiday makers. The Indonesian people are beautiful, always smiling and helpful. I highly recommend visiting.
