We had a wonderful stay.Spacious and windy rooms with wall to wall windows for panaromic view of the city.Spic and span room and bathroom. The owner is very welcoming and helping.He even offered us his bike to reach the football stadium to see the match.Food was tasty.Once we got some fresh greens frm market of which the Cook made delicious meal.Also they have their own convience store at ground floor,tat is great convience .

Shillong offers a wealth of experiences both within the city and in its beautiful surroundings. We especially loved the Don Bosco Museum—not only for its striking architecture but also for the thoughtful and pedagogical way the exhibits are presented. Ward’s Lake is serene and refreshing, made even more delightful during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Beyond the city, Shillong is a paradise for nature lovers. Scenic spots such as Umiam Lake, Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Laitlum Canyon, and the Mawphlang Sacred Groves offer unforgettable views and a deep connection with nature. We enjoyed the traditional Khasi food served in authentic restaurants. We enjoyed the stop at the ML 05 café on our way back from the Elephant falls.

Be careful about the local travel agency like M/s Travenjo, through whom I booked my trip, a huge mistake. They never provide best accommodation against the value for money. They are more greedy about making profit for themselves. and not quality service to the customer..

Must visit.

Must visit. Small off beat remote village with heavenly beauty and clear kanchanjangha mountain view. Elderly people can go as you don't need to climb anywhere. Amidst nature, garden, butterflies, mountain and your close buddies ! If you are the peaceful type then must visit this amazing place. Please note that cigarettes/ wines not available so must Carry before you reach here.

Booking.com mentioned it as a bed and breakfast, but...

Booking.com mentioned it as a bed and breakfast, but breakfast was not provided. There was no restaurant which was so inconvenient, even to have a glass of water one had to venture out 100 metres outside in the sun. There was no coffee maker as mentioned. TV was not working. Towel provided was stinking badly.

People in the cities would be surprised with the traffic without honking and much patience. I really wish I could have stayed much longer, the views are beautiful, mornings are freshening, evenings are warm.

Trek to single decker and double decker root bridge was...

Trek to single decker and double decker root bridge was awesome. Arwah caves provided us with an experience of limestone caves However, most of the water falls in an around cheerapunji are running on their final breaths if you visit during february and I do not recommend you do that

The city really becomes congested during office hours and in...

The city really becomes congested during office hours and in the evening. The roads are incapable to handle the ever increasing no of vehicles in the evening. Traffic is virtually standstill when you enter the city after sight seeing. In all the places for visit there is a plethora of charge for car parking and entry fee by pvt parties or local bodies which is killing the spirit of tourism here.Moreover the cost of food items at the places of visit are much higher compared to other places. Over pricing of such tourist places and mad rush for people for holidaying will eventually finish the charm of the area.
