Huge advantage is a parking lot, situated a front of the hotel. Parking is free and has a lot of space. Also there is a swimming pool with bubbles. Carrara is an absolutely unique place on the face of Earth. People are cutting marble mountains for two millennia. The city is very interesting in its history and arts. The location is ideal to combine a trip to Cinque Terre with some time on the local beaches, visit Luni Roman site (recommend) Carrara quarries and a day trip to Luca and or Pisa. Massa is not overrun with toursits.
Massa is not overrun with toursits. The mountains are beautful, the beach was clean, water clear and white sand beaches. There are plenty of free beach areas with showers. The beach is clean as well. Lots of restaurants and the grocery stores have a huge variety of food and it was not over priced. Very nice small town, super train connection to La Spezia, where you can start your trip to Cinque Terre and also Pisa you can reach easy with the train. The city itself is bustling, focusing largely on the industry that revolves around marble. Aside from this, Carrara might not offer the typical tourist attractions. However, its coastal section presents a more traditional tourist experience with beautiful views and some leisure activities.
