This hotel is an absolute charming mixture of old and new. They have played with the architecture, so traditional frescos, stones, iron work, and furnishing are styled in sleek modern ways. The amenities are fantastic. Rooms warm and spacious with comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The rooftop terrace has a lovely view over the old city and surrounding mountains. Breakfast was delicious. I’m already planning to come back!

The room was really nice. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had nice supplies - soaps and vanity box. The view was nice. It was good to have mini bar and a fresh jug of water was provided each morning, I found the staff in restaurant, reception and Bar to be extremely friendly. The housekeeping was super efficient - my room was cleaned each morning when I returned from Breakfast. The television was of excellent quality and had ample supply of channels. The breakfast buffet was superb - very well presented - even Champagne on ice. The cheese, meat, fruit, bread egg and smoked salmon variety was excellent.

What a wonderful experience at Castel Hörtenberg! Every aspect of my stay was great, from the comfortable bed to the delicious breakfast. As frequent visitors to Bolzano, we've experienced many hotels, and Castel Hörtenberg stands out as one of the absolute best. But the highlight for me was the incredible staff, especially the charming and exceptionally kind Ms.Tatjana working at the reception. She was not only beautiful but also incredibly efficient and helpful, always ready with a genuine smile and great advice. Super friendly staff. Nice facilities (for a 3 star hotel they were in the upper end), nice food and breakfast. Enjoyed the open yakuzi , unfortunately I arrived late but there is also a nice small pool and relax area in the garden if you want to. The hotel also provides with a day pass for public transportation and bike rental included, that can be handy!

This is the second year in row when we chose Schloss Hotel Korb to stay in the Bolzano neighborhood. All conditions are excellent. Fritz Dellago is an incredible host, being present everywhere and paying attention and having something to each one of his guests. We travelled many places but did not experience so much consideration from owners.

You feel relaxed as you enter the hotel, the staff is caring and helpful, excellent service. Awesome and big spa zone and different number of pools. You never feel disturbed and even not run into other guests very often. Very unique experience! The hotel’s facilities seems like really new and renovated.

Would like to go back prepared to do the walks and hikes in the area. The old city and market were charming. Loved the Archeology museum and learning about Otzi the Iceman. Cable car and train a great introduction to the possibilities available for future visits.

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and...

We just visited small central, old town part of Caldaro and it was nice for one/two evenings. We mostly travelled outside the Caldaro just having hotel in that town. Surrounding vineyards are lovely to visit and enjoy vine tasting. Great roads for motorbike or bike trips.

Eppan is a great smaller area outside of Bozen.

Eppan is a great smaller area outside of Bozen. We enjoyed being close to both the city and nature. There was a local market on Tuesday, and the bakeries and restaurants in town were all delicious and staffed with friendly employees. A cool little spot for a trip!

Now I am receiving rude responses from the Hotel Rotwand saying: "we do not have "italian" personal in the hotel, from eveyone the mother language is german dialect but italian citizien, so your coment look racists or even without sense. the cleaning women is not mexican, she is peruvian like i told you. if the beef you had at dinner wasn´t right, we could change it without problem" To which I must respond that I spoke Spanish with the lovely maid. Sorry I didn't know she is Peruvian, but that's no reason call me racist. I thought Fabian was an Italian name. Again sorry but that doesn't make me racist. Your rudeness continues even now after I've gone. = (

Nice ancient town in middle of Alto Adige wine region. Home of Gewurztraminer. In one side of town vineyards an apple orchards, in other side woods and mountains. Ideal for active holidays but also for wine and food lovers.

Lovely traditional small Italian town in South Tyrol.

Lovely traditional small Italian town in South Tyrol. The free use of local buses and trains with the Sud Tirol card made it very easy to get to places. Easy to get into either Bolzano or Merano. And great local wine trail walk with the history of the local wine region.

The museums were well laid out and interesting, also reasonably priced. It was a lot busier than we were expecting & less friendly than other Italian cities. There were many shops, quite pricey, as well as a variety of street stalls, so a busy bustling City.

The city is incredibly charming, with a vibe that feels much more Austrian than Italian. It’s also surrounded by plenty of beautiful hikes (which I wish I’d had time to do!). I only stayed for two days, and while one day is enough to see the city itself, the real highlight is exploring the trails and nature nearby. The food is distinctly Austrian, hearty and delicious, and the bakeries are absolutely fantastic.
