I would like to express my deep gratitude to the hotel owners for their great attention to guest comfort. They provided us with valuable advice and guided us using maps on how to visit Petra and the available routes. One of the best things is that upon arrival, you can park your car safely in the hotel’s private parking, and there’s no need to use it again as the hotel is located next to all the shops; you’ll only need it when you leave. Additionally, the hotel’s location is quiet and wonderful.

Very clean, every bed had its own charging station + light, each room has its own bathroom (also very clean). The staff were extremely helpful, always willing to answer my questions and even let me amend my booking when I didn’t make it to Petra on the day I thought I was going to. Would stay here again. Very close to Petra (walk down a steep hill and the visitor centre and JETT bus terminal are right at the bottom).

Ammar and his family are very kind. Communication was great and Ammar answer all our questions and request. Hotel is well located with many meal options around. Breakfast is also quite good with a fair options. Ammar always available, even he was our transfer to Petra Visitor Centre (2 min by car)

My stay at Dana Horizon Hotel was truly exceptional. The rooms had a beautiful traditional touch with unforgettable views — perfect for those seeking peace and breathtaking nature. The prices were very reasonable, and we enjoyed both lunch and dinner so much that we ordered them again. The welcome was warm, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, which made the experience even more comfortable. The next morning, we went on a 7-hour hiking tour through the stunning landscape.

    My wife and I are very much happy staying at this hotel. First, the place is top notch clean, spacious, and very accomodating. Second, the hotel staff are warm and friendly. Third, the proximity to the Petra entrance is really close. Almost a stone throw away. Fourth, the buffet Breakfast and Dinner were delicious. It has a wide selection of food and desserts. We were warmly welcome and always assisted by Emad and his staff during our meals. Thank you so much...♥️ Definitely EDOM Hotel deserves its praise and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED when staying here in Petra.     We upgraded for the luxury tent and it was worth it. The tents are very nice, with comfortable bed and a big bathroom with a very nice shower. The camp is so special with its cozy main tent where people come together after the petra tours to relax, listen to local music and drink (complementary) tee. The lights at night are amazing. The food at dinner and breakfast was also amazing, with a big buffet of local food. Everyone was super friendly. The location is perfect for starting the petra tour from the back entry (highly recommended).

    Staff is very friendly, kind and helpful. I got informations about family history business of this hotel, Dana village and about living in Jordan in past and now. Great story telling during excellent dinner. By the way one of the best meals what I ate in Jordan. Hotel is authentic and has terrace with nice view. Dana nature reserve is wonderfull destination, not overcrowded by tourist. For sure is worth it to visit! I got also practical informations like bus schedule, hike possibilities,.. For sure I would like to come again:)

    We had a wonderful stay at the Dana Guest House. One of the best experience of our life, all the staff is here to make you feel at home, with authenticity and generosity. The view on the Dana Reserve is breathless, especially as you can even enjoy it from your shower! The home-made diner was amazing with a lot of choice. And Salem was an incredible host, with great advices and always paying attention to us. If you come to Jordan, you should not miss this place !

    My main reason for booking Petra Palace Hotel was perfect combination of location and price. It takes almost 10mins to get from the property to the main entrance of Petra and on the way there are few shops (grocery and souvenirs) as well as restaurants with local food. It was only a short drive to Petra . Would definitely recommend.

    Probably my rating or comment is not suitable for every travelers as foreigner but living in Jordan for long time. Definitely, I need 5 star hotels in Dead Sea or Aqaba to refresh myself and my family regularly. But Dana is a great place to also have regular visit as it is located within 2.5 hours range from my home in Amman, and to experience this great nature in reasonable expense. After over 10 years of staying in this country, as a person like to sleep under the millions of stars, Dana is most frequently visited location at the recent years of my life in Jordan.

    we have encountered fraudulent behavior on the part of the accommodation operator. after making the reservation via "booking.com" we arrived to the location - meeting with the resort representative "Ahmad" we were taken to another camp resort ( very old, nor matching the pictures during the booking, empty ) being told that the other "camp" is full... but 1 room could still be found - as long as we're happy to pay double price. We accepted as we're in the middle of desert. But this was clearly deliberate fraudulent conduct. Our recommendation would be for Booking.com not to keep contractual relationship with such accommodation providers.

    The village has been abandoned and then rebuilt as a hotel. It sits above a valley and has a stunning view that goes all the way to the Dead Sea. The very friendly Musaad made sure that everyone felt welcome and helped. He also set up a guide for our trip to the nearby Sela' fortress, which is a very interesting Nabataean site. A beautiful spot away from the crowds of tourists, a chance to see the real Jordan.

    The reserve is beautiful.

    The reserve is beautiful. We spent 3 days hiking and hardly saw any other people. Amazing colors and sweeping vistas. Definitely go with a knowledgeable guide to get the best experience. Stay at the Jabal Dana Hotel for great views and amazing food.

    Petra is always a magical place in your imagination.

    Petra is always a magical place in your imagination. However it does not compare to the real thing! No matter how vivid your imagination! You need at least two whole days if not three to really enjoy the sights of Petra. We stayed a short distance away from the visitor center closer to the town centre where there are lovely restaurants and a more local vibe. It's better to take it easier and absorb the local culture and ancient history.

    Pay attention to the weather conditions depending on the time of year. We had to abandon the hike due to heavy rain 3 days before (end of February/beginning of March). Our host recommended doing this hike after March 15 and ideally in May.

    Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from...

    Great location right next to little Petra and 5 minutes from Petra. Suggest you take a car to the top (Rear) of Petra and enter near the monastery then walk down hill towards the entrance as it is a big day of walking. Hotel has lovely staff and very helpful. Every night was a large outdoor fire with tea service and music while the hills had lights on them for great photos. Suggest spending two nights in this hotel min maybe 3-4 nights to experience all the surround areas.
