- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 222 reviewsThis is one of my favourite places to stay in all my worldwide travels. Apart from Aka island being the cutest and calmest island with the best snorkeling, this hotel always makes the trip. The owners of this property are so nice and always willing to help you with anything. The rooms have everything you need and the bathrooms are always clean. There is a communal kitchen with a kettle, fridge and microwave you can use if you don’t feel like eating out. The outdoor space is the absolute highlight though. It has tables and chairs and two outdoor bathtubs, perfect to relax in after a day at the beach. They also rent out snorkeling gear and push bikes to make your stay incredibly easy. They gave us a map of all the beaches with local knowledge on the best snorkeling too. I first stayed here by myself and made sure I brought friends with me the next trip. They all said out of all the places we stayed on the trip that this was their favourite. Thank you for such a wonderful stay again, I will definitely be back.Guest review byEmmaAustralia
- From US$522.76 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 266 reviewsWonderful stay in a well appointed room with very comfortable beds. The folding table and chairs turn into a nice living area during the day with a small fridge and there are microwave + cooking utensils + laundry outside the room. But especially we want to thank Natsuko San for being so extremely helpful when we were disrupted due to ferry cancellation.Guest review byChrisAustralia
- From US$95.40 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 531 reviewsLoved the room, was very spacious and comfortable, and very close to the beach! They also offer scuba diving, but just be aware that none of their instructors speak English (or very very limited English anyway). Free breakfast is included, and they had a wide range of good food - veggie options too! Water pressure was very good too.Guest review byTaisUnited Kingdom

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 83 reviewsThe location is a dream, the futons were very comfortable, and there was everything we could ask for. Moreover, our host was great! He was very helpful and kind: he helped us with the transportation to the beach and to the port. Everything was perfect!Guest review byGiovanniItaly
- From US$52.28 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 449 reviewsThe staff working here were extremely helpful, they even sent me a shirt I had forgotten there. There is a common room (with a yoga mat!) and good cooking space, which can not be taken for granted when staying in hostels around Asia.Guest review bySonjaFinland

I was there for five days (planned for seven days to include five days of diving), and my stay was cut short by the threat of a typhoon. Tokashiki is quiet - you have to make your own activities, which are water-based. We found a couple of exceptional restaurants and a food truck with great vibes. Lots of friendly locals.Guest review byPaulaCanada - 10.0

Beautiful small island with lots of breathtaking places and spots for snorkeling. The further you move from the Zamami village the more quiet is gets. We went to the more remoted beaches to walk around and were the only people there for couple of hours. Most of the places are easily accessible by bike that can be rented either at hotel or in the main village. There are few restaurant, but always book a table. Often they don't accept guests without reservation, likely due to portion limitations.Guest review byHorakova - 10.0

Akemi was such a wonderful host.. she picked us up from the ferry and dropped us off on our return back. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Her place was comfortable and had everything we needed. She even has a restaurant close by and another food spot by Ama beach where we were able to get food and snacks. She served delicious, authentic food at her restaurant and I think she was also the chef! Will definitely stay here again!Guest review byArleneUnited States - 10.0

The beach here really is one of the best in Japan, maybe one of the best in the world. Crabs and coral and beautiful seashells everywhere. It's so natural. Beautiful white sand and blue sea. Best of all is under the water. Coral gardens, colorful fish, sea turtlesGuest review byChristopherJapan - 10.0
Zamami is quiet and very natural.
Zamami is quiet and very natural. We stayed near the port and there are two nice beaches within walking distance. The town is very quiet ad peaceful. we rented scooters and drove around the island - a great way to see spectacular views. I recommend 3 nights. Be sure to book restaurants for dinner as its a small town and the restaurants fill up quickly. We really enjoyed eating at the hotel but would have liked to have tried a few other places too. The Mexican truck was a great place for lunch (no reservations needed).Guest review byjacqueline - 10.0
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands.
Tokashiki is the largest of the Kerama Islands. There are some great spots for swimming, snorkeling, and diving from the shore, but a boat trip will be required for some of the other spots, particularly the northern portion of the island. The roads are narrow, but it's worth touring around the island on some of the back roads for the various views and wildlife.Guest review byJarrodUnited Kingdom - 6.0

The local authorities definitely need to figure out these two obvious issues including the overprice to tourists and the depression of local residents. Local people are super reluctant to do businesses like always closed restaurants and rude shop owner in furuzamami beach.Guest review by鲁西西China
