This was my second time around to Amboseli Serena. This time, we were delightfully pleased to have been upgraded to the presidential suite. The weather was great, and we had amazing views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro from the rooftop terrace of our astounding suite. We went on a delightful morning safari and were lucky to spot bountiful wildlife including kingfishers, storks, lions, plenty of elephants, giraffes, reedbuck, wildebeest, Thompson gazelles, buffalos, hippos, hyena and lots more. The views from the lodge overlooking the waterhole are amazing and teeming with wildlife. The staff at Amboseli Serena did not disappoint and demonstrated the exemplary customer service that is akin to the Serena Hotels & Resorts. There were plenty of tasty meal options to suite every palate. Looking forward to my return visit in October this year! Thank you for the delightful weekend away.

The property is in a very good location only a short drive from the park gate. The cottage we stayed in was huge and had good hot water as well as a small balcony. The cheetah bar was a great place to have a beer after a long hot day and wifi was good there. The food was self -serve buffet style with lots of options. However, best of all we accidentally forgot our jacket when we left which had our house keys in it! Our driver called the manager who not only found the jacket but got it sent back to Nairobi for us.

The place had all the necesities anyone would need, while Brian helpped us with anything we wanted to do. The motorbike safari around Amboseli is also very recommended, we saw elephants next to Mount Kilimanjaro which was amazing. Also the views from the cabin of Kilimanjaro where astonishing. We really recommend the place, next time we go to Loitokitok we are staying there for sure

A tranquil place in the middle of savanna with magnificent views on Kilimanjaro, birds singing since early morning on acacia trees and amazing people who make this please special and take care of you like of their own friends. We arrived in Emali and were picked up by a taxi and brought directly to the camping. We booked four nights in a tent but as we had no car and our backpacks would probably not fit in a tent, we had to change for a house (additionally paid). This place is very safe, surrounded by an electric fence, gate closed for the night and security (Sam) is always there for you. Brian (Lerionka) is a great host (he together with Sam and my husband organized beautiful birthday for me), an awesome cook (his food was delicious) and tour guide - he knows so much about the nature and enjoys sharing his passions with guests. We went on one-day Safari in Amboseli organized by Brian with a guide Isak (very competent guide with years of experience, highly recommended), walking tour (spotting zebras) on savanna next to the camping, hiking on foothill of Kili and even a cooking lesson with Brian. If you would like to relax, spend time in nature, enjoy the views of top of Kilimanjaro and get an authentic experience in Kimana and Oloitokitok, you should definitely stay longer than 2 nights. Loved our time at Kilima - the staff was extremely friendly and even gave us a room upgrade! We were very pleasantly surprised with the food - everything was delicious and super well-seasoned. Chef Edward came out to meet us as well. The location is great, right next to the entrance to the park. Just keep in mind if you come from Nairobi you'll probably have to drive through the park to get to the hotel and consequently pay the entry fee, which is valid for 24h). Amboseli Discovery is simply incredible. The views of Kilimanjaro are breathtaking and you really have the feeling of being deep in nature. The staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive and helped us to organise our safari trip and other activities. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and with toilet and shower facilities - one of the best camping experiences I have had. We enjoyed incredible sunsets and sitting around the campfire in the evening and watching the stars.

Staff was very welcoming and helpful. The place is as described. The food was also very good. There are few tents at the camp, though we felt safe the whole time. Beautiful views over the Kilimanjaro.
