Accomodation seems to be fresh, or very well maintained, everything is well though, a lot of nice details. We came late, and we had to leave early in the morning next day but we could see that it is in a spectacular location.

The breakfast buffet was excellent! So many options. The best we've had on our trip, so far. The staff were welcoming and our accommodation was super comfortable. We loved the furnishings and the hand painted murals of nature in the shared spaces. It exceeded our expectations of what we might find in a port town and the town itself was lovely too. We appreciated the architecture and 'Panna', the local cafe was great. Highly recommend staying here.

Our stay at Hotel Benevilla was amazing! The room we stayed in was very nice with a big comfortable bed. Our host asked us each day when we would like breakfast the next morning which was included. We had a traditional Latvian savoury breakfast (meats and bread etc) and also had specially made pancakes. It was delicious and very filling.
The hotel owner was very welcoming and kind. We also had a big family dinner in a spectate room with my relatives in Alūksne. The hotel was very accomodating of our requests.
We look forward to returning!! Thank you for having us!

One of the very best hotels we every stayed at for the location, the modern decor and the comfort. We had a basic room overlooking the pond. No use to splurge for a deck in early October as it was too cold to use it. The restaurant is excellent and fairly priced, as the wine. The service very good. The breakfast is plentiful and varied, they serve just about everything but Eggs benedict. Do not believe some bad reviews that you will read further about the breakfast, it is total nonsense. It does not compare with the stingy breakfasts that they serve in France. Be sure to visit for free the great car collection on the premices. The Rundale castle is fabulous and the bizarre Hill of crosses unique, not to be missed.
