What I liked in Suhaila Palace: Staff: Hotel staff was very helpful. They allowed me earlier check-in as I was so exhausted after 19 hours of flight and bus trip. Also, they offer sightseeing tours and water sport activities, which was great as you don’t need to look for everything by yourself. You need ferry boat tickets; airport or jetty pick up/drop off – hotel team can help you with any questions. Aunty’s banana pie at the reception was sweet and tasty. I believe I forgot about my diet and gained extra pounds. Location: Hotel is located right on the beach, with sea view and opposite to neighbor island with mosque. Perhentian Island Resort (PIR) and other small beaches were easily accessible and around 5-10 minutes of walking distance via jungle on the right side. Other more beautiful 4-5 beaches without people were on the left side from Suhaila Palace. Amenities: Hotel has own restaurant where they serve breakfast, lunch and dinners. Rooftop terrace is a great place for sunbathing or watching beautiful sunset. One and only small family shop in the island was in Suhaila Palace and was very helpful as island is isolated. Cooler with hot water was outside in the common area, but it didn’t work night time as connecting cable was removed. My room: There was a comfy bed, clean towels, soap, kettle, air conditioner, fan, mirror, hair dryer, safe (to keep money and documents), commode, cloth hangers, hooks, table with stool in my room. Shower had hot water. Outside shared sea view balcony with chairs and coffee table was nice. Wi-Fi internet: Internet connection was working well during day time. There was no internet connection one night, but next day I asked hotel manager to keep it on/not to turn off during night time as well. So, everything was fine. Hotel guests were very sociable and friendly as we all were on the isolated island. Overall, it’s a good comfortable hotel to stay if you are looking for beautiful sunsets and ocean view.

Bubu Villa provided the perfect base for our tropical paradise escape in the Perhentians. The food was so good we came back every lunch and dinner even though other options on the island also looked great. The snorkelling excursions matched the offer from other providers but it was practical to have everything organised for us and billed at checkout, and the guides were friendly and informative. The accommodation was super comfortable, air conditioned and clean. The spa treatments were a lovely bonus! Being part of the family friendly long beach community was great, in order to not feel so isolated and exclusive, and provide access to fire shows, shops, bars and restaurants along the beach, without it ever becoming noisy or rowdy. The entirety of the lovely staff were always friendly, helpful and chatty, making our stay exceptionally great.

Everything ! The staff is increadibely nice, and helping, they also helped us for our bus and hotel to our next destination, The food at the restaurant is a bit expensive but so worth it ! Every night you have 2 movies diffused on a videoprojector I also loved that to chill after a long snorkelling day :) The breakfast is also super good The place is the most beautiful of all the resort I saw on the island and the room are also nice !

This place is a gem for this price. Well okay rooms are bit dated but they are super clean, aircon is good and garden around huts is nice. I noticed some people complain its far away from beach and difficult to reach. Truth is that path from main beach is actually 120 m long and max 8% elevation... I guess its too much for someone. overall a great experience

Everything amazing location. Room was spotless food was fantastic water snorkelling scuba diving beautiful. Mostly the staff amazing group of people made me more than welcome and I’ve nothing but happy memories. I even became facebook friends with a couple of members. Can’t recommend this enough

fast check in and check out have own jetty that make easier just nice room and toilet cafe know how to tasty cust tongue delicious had to go beside beach have shark point n beautiful in front beach smelly whether from boat etc

Fantastic location, right on the beach with amazing views. Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly, from organising boat transfers and other activities like scuba diving.

Very nice accommodation in Coral bay, right on the beach. The staff is really nice and friendly. They helped me recover an ebook I had left on the island, which wasn't easy. Thanks again!

Very good breakfast and best restaurant in the area, although a little more expensive. Plenty of outside chairs on the beach. Nice place.
