Such a wonderful place! We loved everything about Kuvira. Very nice and kind reception by Veronica, breathtaking views on the river Cubango from the bar while spotting some hippos. Next to the restaurant, they set up a campfire where the guests could drink another glass of wine. We would book this lodge anytime afain without any doubt. It's highly recommendable if travelling to the Caprivi Strip.

What an amazing little lodge this is. The tents are super comfortable with bathrooms attached and a view through the reeds to the small river. the grounds are beautifully cared for but the best thing about this lodge is the food! Oh my god best food not just in Africa but in many places outside of Africa too! The German (?) gorgeous lady who either owns the lodge it runs it is so beautiful! she assured us it would be the best bread in a Africa and she was right! But the bread was just the start the pumpkin papaya soup was creamy, silky smooth and just delicious. this was followed by a kudu roulade (like venison) which was accompanied by the most yummy jus and mashed potato and well as small hollowed squash stuffed with some sort of cheesy, pumpkin concoction! seriously this food was so so good! This is as followed by a fluffy chocolate mousse with candied walnuts and a shortbread crumb. you would think you were in a city restaurant not in the middle of a game park with nothing around you! We slept like babies in our warm and cosy 4 post tented bedroom and awoke to the birds before yet more delicious food before we waved goodbye! I would tell anyone to make sure to stay here between Chobe and Divundu to enjoy the Mudumu Game Park and the wonderful hospitality of Camp Kwando!

Unfortunately we just stayed for one night at this beautiful, very new chalets at the Chobe River. We just were on our drive through from Botswana to Namibia. We enjoyed the very good dinner and breakfast next morning. We really can recommend this place.

We stayed here for two nights and would have extended if we had more time. Antonio and the team did an amazing job at making us feel welcome. They have a fantastic lodge right on the banks of a floodplain. Great bar and restaurant, we did lots of trips with them including, day safari, day walk, and a night safari. In the evening you can sit and watch the sunset with a drink while the elephants, hippos and other wildlife come to the waterhole for a drink. Jst amazing. Definitely a highlight of our trip to bostwana.

We liked everything - didn't know we were in a tent!! Very rustic, with wood burning hot water system - had a great shower. Location on the banks of the Kwando River was fabulous, with Lechwe on the banks. We had a wonderful river cruise with Kennedy, who was very knowledgeable: birds, hippo, baby crocodiles and a large obstinacy of buffaloes. We also spent some time in the nearby Mudumu National Park, which was a wonderful experience. Annette and Hennie were very welcoming and gracious hosts who went out of their way to assist two older women with some disabilities. Huge thanks to them both! Thanks, too, to Shiloh. Thanks also for the great breakfasts and dinners.

Great welcome. Absolutely fantastic for birds and wildlife. Could easily spend hours enjoying the stunning view from the room and grounds. Everyone friendly and helpful, the manageress was lovely, coming to speak with us at meals. Sundowner Boat trip fabulous, great guide. To have the amazing Mahangu Core Reserve only 15 minutes away was excellent, Elephant, Giraffe, Hippo and so much more. The food was delicious, catering for our vegetarian diet. For birders the views of Rock Pratincoles just incredible, I saw over 150 species of bird in a day in this area. Would love to return again.

The accomodation is not cheap, but very good. Definitely the best place to stay on our trip. All staff are very friendly. It was nice and intersting to talk with them. The location directly at the river is great. There are a lot of sitting areas directly at the river. We had been in contact with Brenda already long time before our arrival.

Kongola itself is quite small. However, river cruises are on offer, with fantastic animal and bird sightings, as well as magnificent sunsets on the Kwando river. Another advantage is the Mudumu National Park, with an abundance of wildlife and birds,
