It was worth making the long trip to the hotel because the location, accommodation, and scenery were amazing. The hotel's decor meticulously followed the style of the 1920s and 1930s. The hotel offers guests a variety of recreational opportunities, allowing everyone to find a suitable way to relax. You can spend your time at the pool area, visit the gym, get a massage or spa treatment, or enjoy outdoor movie screenings - or simply spend your time admiring the incredible scenery. The excursions were diverse. The hotel's food was excellent. The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive to the guests' wishes. We felt that our well-being was very well taken care of throughout our stay.

It was amazing, great experience. The lodge is spacious, clean, it's beautiful! We could even touch the rhinos in the evening! Everyone was so kind, the food was so good, I felt at home in Saroa <3 Thanks Carina, Albert, Joseph, Maria, Ottilie and all the others who made our visit unforgettable! Thibaud and Lucie

When you arrive you ask yourself were this is going but behind the facade of chicken and geese pen is an oasis. Very nice people and although the buildings feel bit out dated, the rooms are comfortable and clean. They all look out over a waterhole. You can see all kind of animals passing by. The space around the pool its very nice and dinning outside was great. The food was lovely. Shower gave a lot of water. Great value for money.

The place is exceptional, the services are excellent. The staff are all super helpful and the food is worthy of a Michelin star ! I can’t put in words how impressed we’ve been ! Definitely coming back for longer, I’ll be in touch !

Great Hotel , perfect location

We loved everything. Absolutely brilliant. Step back in time with 100% modern additions. Could be used in an Agatha Christie movie. Authentic art deco 1900s beauty. If you can book the suit it’s bigger than a house. Staff are so friendly and attentive. We have travelled the world and stayed 5* in so many locations and nothing comes close to this hotel. Loved every second of our stay.

Amazing camp on the shores of the Kavango. Great services, good dinner and friendly staff. We enjoyed the site so much that we wish we could have stayed an extra night.

Very close to the ocean. Very secure parking in basement. Very clean facilities - bathrooms, rooms and dining.

Heinitzburg is a beautiful hotel and I would love to stay there again. From driving in to leaving, everything was a positive experience. Unfortunately we missed out on having dinner in their beautiful restaurant. We had a glimpse of the cellar which is unbelievably impressive. Staff were amazing.

Perfectly located 30 minutes far from the entrance to Sossusvlei, with stunning views on the desert. Very friendly and helpful staff, delicious dinner and breakfast included. The room was spacious, clean and furnished with great care.

We loved this place. Beautiful location, right in the national park. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds with many different seating options where you can watch the waterfalls and surroundings. The bungalows are clean and nice with a private terrace with views across the river and waterfalls. Staff is very helpful and kind. The sunset cruise offered was really good, we saw lots of wildlife.
