We spent three nights at De Zanding and spent New Year's Eve there. We were one of the few who arrived there without our own car, so perhaps the review will be a bit specific. Actually - the first plus is the accessibility of arriving by public transportation. The stop of the 105th bus is right next to the recreation center. 25 minutes from the station Arnhem and you are there. The territory is large, beautifully decorated, check-in was without problems. We received a package with keys right at the bridge. Please note that when ordering a set of linen, it does not include towels (but there is a separate towel package for an extra charge), so take them with you if you need them. Enjoyed the free and fast internet in the house. The house was warm, you can always adjust the comfortable temperature yourself. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. A huge plus (especially in rainy weather) is the pool and wellness area with 4 excellent saunas. Private wellness access must be booked for an extra fee in advance on the De Zanding website. The price is affordable. There is access to the pool from the wellness area.

If you are just looking for somewhere to sleep for one night, this is probably not the place for you, unless you have business at Teuge Airport. If you are looking to spend a romantic time with your loved one and/or you are an aviation enthusiast, this is the perfect place for you. Make sure have plenty of time, or best spend 2 nights, in order to enjoy all the amenities of this one of a kind 'hotel'! Marjan is the perfect host. She even brought my breakfast in the evening (for the fridge), because I had an early start the next day for a flight out of AMS. Unfortunately I was alone on a business trip with not nearly enough time. I will definitely return, with more time and in company. Note: Traffic between Amsterdam and Teuge between 7.00 and 9.00 and between 15.00 and 18.00 is crazy so plan accordingly. You definitely need a car. There are plenty of car rentals available at AMS Airport. There is a restaurant for dinner called 'Take Off' at Teuge Airport that can also easily reached on foot.

I had read some reviews mentioning that the hotel was dirty, noisy, and had poor internet, so I was a bit worried before arriving. However, our experience was completely different! Very friendly and helpful staff. A clean and comfortable room with surprisingly cozy pillows (even though they looked quite thin). Fast and stable internet connection. Although our window faced the restaurant, it was perfectly quiet after 10 p.m., and we could sleep with the window open. Excellent breakfast with a wide variety of options and really good coffee. Beautiful surroundings, perfect for walking with our dog. We were very pleased with our stay and will definitely keep this hotel in mind for future visits.

Nice place, there isnt enough facilities for disable people especially in the centre if you would like to use toilets etc in restaurants/ coffee shops. There isnt any sign post or announce in English in the buses or trains, also in the city centre. Therefore, it can be struggle.

Nice clean town, plenty of places to eat and drink. The bridge museum is small but interesting. There wasn't much else to do that appealed to us, but we walked to Oosterbeek to see the annual celebrations. I beleive there is a zoo and a few other things but we didn't look for them.

Very pretty place, parks and quaint streets. Beautiful houses, pedestrianised shopping areas. Plenty of restaurants (some all in one area which is convenient) didn't get round to seeing all, have to leave it til next year when we will be visiting again (attending an annual event)

Beautiful town and we had a good feelings about it. Nature around is amazing with large forest, foot path, possibility to rent bikes. missing activities, restaurants open in center on sunday. proximity of Amersfoort within 30 minutes max.

Perfect place, etc. BUT - there was no soap in the bathroom, only 1 bag of tea + 1 bag of coffeee four 4 days stay, AND MAINLY, why do you provide only one set of keys 4 to gentlemans with separate beds?

The property is very near the lake, so if you’re into fishing, Keet is your man - he has a wealth of knowledge about fishing in the area and is willing to freely share it with you. You are also within and easy bicycle ride to town so shopping is nearby. Ingrid has some lovely homemade jams for sale too - good on warm toast!!

The historic centre was well worth visiting and taking time to explore the city. There are plenty of coffee houses to enjoy although in the evening, a number of establishments were closed through staffing shortages. There were sufficient to enable a different restaurant each night. I thought that the price was expensive but normal for the Netherlands. Not a cheap location.

The young staff at the hotel were excellent. There was a large free hotel car park. The dinner was good with ample portions depending on choice of food. At the time Lunteren was suffering from extensive road works making navigation difficult.

The location of this hotel is great, near Oosterbeek, with a lot of history, visit castle Doorwerth, Westerbouwing and Arnhem for big City shopping, followed by relaxing at the hotel. Surrounded by nature, this is a great choice for a vacation, business gathering or weekend stop.

I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in...

I love this city, it's my favourite place I have been to in the Netherlands (so far). The city centre is very walkable, despite it not being flat (highly unusual in the Netherlands!). Plenty of cultural sights, and things to do. Easily accessible by train with great connections all over the country. You can easily spend a few hours, or even a whole day, at the river beach (Waalstrandje) when the weather is nice. There are a few shopping streets, personally I like the Lange Hezelstraat with its record shops, gift shops, and vintage clothing stores, or if you like the high street shops then the Broerstraat is the place to go.
