Absolutely stunning location, awesome views all around thanks to huge windows in every direction plus a 270° wrap-aroung-porch. This "humble abode" is luxuriously spacious and the whole place got very good vibes. The infos prepared by Candace, our hostess included not only things to do and the weather but also tide-times, stars visible during our stay and sunrise / sunset. I would definitely stay there again, but would try to stay longer, which I recommend to everyone. Three days is the minimum... The pantry and fridge were so well stocked that we didn't need to go grocery shopping. Did I mention the washing machine (lots of washing powder provided too) and the dryer?

At first glance, Rawene looks like a sleepy one street small town- it has three churches alone on the main street! These must compete for congregations. But it is surrounded by water everywhere and the interplay of light, sky, flora and fauna is very attractive. We enjoyed sitting at the Boatshed Cafe and looking at the water. But what also made Rawene special for us is our accomodation at 2 Marriner St. Our room wasn't just clean and comfortable; it had style, a lovely view of the garden and the water and the residential cats came visiting. They were the cute but shy and quiet type ,so no worries there. We spent a lot of time just reading or walking. A definite plus point is that Robyn, our hostess is also an excellent cook. We had two dinners there and both were delicious.

The hosts are very lovely. It's like visiting friends who help you when you need their help. Otherwise, you can enjoy your time there undisturbed on your own, with a wonderful view from the great swing on the veranda.

Location was beautiful with a native bush walk, lovely views, peaceful and quiet. The hosts Julie and Nick were very friendly and welcoming. The log house is absolutely amazing, we have never been in a house like it, the craftmanship is incredible ! The continental breakfast was great too. A wonderful stay ! This was a memory trip, so it was the first time. SORRY, I had to mention the incident, but wiser to leave it. Now you wanted a report, I only mentioned it in case something was wrong and could happen to somebody else. It has gone no further. You have done well in the decorating, and perhaps we will come again Carole

Absolutely charming little Harbour village with lots of history and gorgeous colonial style houses and buildings. Unfortunately a couple of stores are only open a few days of the week. Great take-away fish & chips, but don't leave it too late as only open until 7pm in the evenings.

Kohukohu is unspoiled. The Hokianga Harbour is one of the most beautiful places in New Zealand. The local people were delightful. Unfortunately we were there when the cafe was closed. Have been before and was looking forward to breakfast there.

I've used this accomodation many times.

I've used this accomodation many times. It's easy to book and is at a reasonable price. I know you need to book early or in advance IN THE HOLIDAYS and when events are on. I booked online from the opononi Pub once. I was lucky to get a room that was available at the time. That's why booking on line is just as good as ringing up. Ownership is changing in July I hope the new owners can maintain the previous owners standards. Always willing to support the accommodation.

Our weekend away was just amazing, it far exceeded our expectations. Stu and Lynn were so hospitable and made us feel very welcome. The Chapel was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We feel very privileged to have stayed in this beautiful accommodation, thank you, we will highly recommend to our family and friends. Wishing you both all the best. :o)
