The hotel is ideally situated a very short walking distance to the town centre with all its restaurants , museums and other places to visit. It’s also near bus and tram stops . The main train station is only a couple of bus stops away . I found the hotel to be very quiet. My room had a beautiful view of the river which I could enjoy from my balcony. Both the room and the bathroom were spotlessly clean and it was very useful to have a fridge. The bed was extremely comfortable. More importantly given the time of the year the room was kept nicely warm at all times . Breakfast was available until quite late and was very copious. For the purpose of my visit I often had to go in and out of the hotel and I appreciated not having to go through reception but be able to use the other exit door. I wouldn’t hesitate to book again at hotel Czarna Roza.

We had a family room in the new building and it was fantastic. Two rooms joined by a door so the kids could have their own bathroom, and we could close the door for a bit privacy ☺️ We had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel and it was excellent. The schnitzel was perfekt as well as the carbonara. Breakfast had everything you’d want ☺️ Home made pancakes, perfect scrambled eggs, fresh bread and so much more! The sad thing was that we only booked one night. Had we know how great this place was we would have extended our stay in Torun one more night. Kids loved that there was a football field just 50m from the hotel 😛 Will definitely visit again

The beauty of the grounds here is wonderful. The staff was exceptional in all areas. We especially appreciated the housekeeping staff. The rest of the staff were also so friendly kind. The bar tenders are talented in presentation and the creation all of their drinks and were very helpful with all of our questions about local drinks. It is a very easy walk through a beautifully kept park to Old Town Torun. The breakfast was beyond anything we could imagine. Many different offerings in several locations. Local foods, international foods, several fresh vegetable and fruit choices. The friendly staff kept things clean and comfortable at all times. The in-house beauty salon is run by exceptional beauticians Exceptional for groups, and very comfortable for individuals. Wonderful all around.

Our little family had a wonderful time in this beautiful place on the top of an hill, facing a gorgeous lake. There is everything needed to have quality time: spa, amazing restaurants and lot of activities which kept our son happy and busy all day :) Another plus, the hotel is pet friendly and our dog had a great time too.

Torun is a medieval gem in the heart of Poland. Close to the Baltic sea and close to Warsaw, the capital. The old town complex is a must see, especially at night. It offers beautiful and unique heritage; no wonder it's been on the Unesco list for almost 30 years now.

I was born here and used to love this city, especially its transformation from an industrial center into a tourist destination. Unfortunately, my recent visit was deeply disappointing. The city is overwhelmed by constant construction work, yet many areas feel neglected and abandoned. In some places it resembles a ghost town — people seem to disappear, while prices remain unreasonably high. Accommodation is expensive and often offers very poor value for the cost. Public transportation functions badly: buses are unreliable, and the overall public transport network feels almost non-existent. In reality, only taxis and private transport platforms operate efficiently. Pollution levels are also noticeably high. Although some cultural events may still take place, they are not easily visible or well promoted. As a result, visitors are left with the impression of chaos, high costs, and little return in terms of comfort or experience. Sadly, this visit did not reflect the city I once knew and admired.

Charming Old city centre easily walked. The only negative I experienced was that in this part of Poland, I could not find a single person who understood/spoke English in any of the shops or in the street...but still felt welcome. I was later told the larger tourist cities are more likely to have English spoken. Just relied on Google translator.

This is a small health resort with lots of hotels / spas for various treatments. The air is really good and the area is very tranquil, especially around the Graduation Towers. We went at the start of May, so not that busy but it also meant that the flowers hadn't yet been planted. Would return for that. Some hotels for treatments are more expensive than others and be aware of different prices, cheaper if you have been directed by your Polish doctor. It's a small town, walkable, with many parks, trees and fountains. Many of the restaurants served typical Polish food but you could also have pizzas and burgers if that's what you like. Our first trip here but we would return for fresh air and relaxation!

Although I lived close to Inowroclaw I never knew the town...

Although I lived close to Inowroclaw I never knew the town from the side of spa town. I discovered a lot interesting things to visit and learn about history, tasted delicious mineral water Inowrocławianka Kujawska and Jadwiga, swam and relaxed in salty warm water of Inowroclawska Terma. I did some unforgettable walks at Solanki Park, watched red squirrels, breathed fresh clean air at the site of Graduation Tower and sat on the bench by the Monument to General Władysław Sikorski. I ate delicious Polish food in the huge portion size.(recommend Róże Fiolki I Aniołki). Do not forget say hello to Queen Jadwiga at Old Market Square and take a foto with the only in the world the statue of mother -in-law at Pijalnia Wod/Palmiarnia. Exhibition od Salt Industry at Town Theatre is also worth to visit. I am still under impression of this inostensible industrial and also spa town.

beautiful city with an amazing old town and many interesting landmarks to see. located right on the banks of the Vistula river with a beautiful view of the water. Bydgoszcz has a lot of culture, including a fantastic filharmonia, an excellent opera house, and fine museums. Many places to get a meal, a cup of coffee, or a beer. The city has a cool vibe and the people are welcoming.

It doesn't have bolt or Uber that's the only inconvenience, because we don't know how the taxis work and you have to pronounce street name which is a bit difficult, if you are not a polish speaker.

The downtown area has many nice parks to enjoy and benches for relaxing. Many small shops and banks with ATM's for all your needs. Grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, etc. are all within an easy 5 minute drive or less. Great food at the market square at fresh fruit/vegetable stands, many small shops with interesting items for sale and all easy walking as it is flat terrain.

Charming old town easily explored by foot.

Charming old town easily explored by foot. The gingerbread museum was a delight and we got to make our own ornaments to take home. I also really loved the Copernicus Museum which gave lots of information about life in the town in a very entertaining way.
