This was a really nice hotel. Our room was large and comfortable. We used the indoor pool and hot tub which were nice though closes at 8pm. The restaurant was a bit overpriced and did not have many non-seafood options but the food was good and the atmosphere was elegant.

Welcoming and helpful hosts. Comfortable bed. Nice 15 minute walk along the coast to Madalena. Very pleased to have somewhere to dry my clothes!

I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this hotel. It is as close to the ferry terminal as you can get. , The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool has a nice view on Faial, and is beeing cleaned every morning (and they are probably the only ones having a pool in Pico anyway...) You can walk in less than 5 minutes to all the different tour operators (Diving, Hiking, Whalewatching, Rentalcars....) and restaurants. It is maybe a bit dated, but I felt like they were doing their best at being welcomig. They even organise a mini breakfast buffet from 04 a.m - 7 a.m for people leaving early on hikes or diving tours...! Keep in mind that every Airbnb in the area is more expensive , without offering you room service, breakfast or a pool area. If you come to Pico for its great nature activities, and want an easy hotel, thats your place to go!!

Aptly named — by the time you leave Loving Strangers, they’re no longer strangers. Stefan greets you with a hug and hosts like a long-lost friend, whipping up legendary breakfasts (and dinners that had everyone raving, though I sadly missed out). The hostel itself is a gem: spotless, comfy beds, great amenities, and full of the kind of people you’ll wish you had more nights to talk with. Basically, it’s the kind of place that makes you miss it before you’ve even left.

Unexpected welcome basket with many products! New home very cozy even if not too big. Kitchen very well equipped. Patio with table and chairs to relax and have dinner outside with view on both the sea and Pico Mountain. Lovely position!
