What a gem! The location is stunning and the accommodation faultless! Food is hearty and plentiful, service and friendliness is faultless! I could have stayed a lot longer and just listened to the sounds of the hills! Huge secure garage for motorbike parking. We were only able to stay for one night but wish we'd stayed longer as there is so much to enjoy. It's a big space with two floors and a nice outdoor area. All spaces are equipped with everything you need and the decorations are very thoughtful. All the seating areas are comfy and pleasant. The beds are lovely and there is plenty of hot water in the shower and bath. We had our dinner and breakfast on the balcony and really enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely stay again if in the area again. It's a good spot for exploring the national park and only a 25min drive from Braganca.

Perfect tranquilty.
Perfect tranquilty. Quiet village in National park outside of Braganca (20 minute drive). Very comfortable house with all facilities in Kitchen as per advertised. Excellent host. Luis is a gentleman and took great care to ensure the stay was great. Gave full privacy but responded immediately to requests! Even had flat tire on my hire car fixed for me, with no charge. Great fireplace. Wood delivered to door each day. Booked for two nights and stayed for four. Wish I could have stayed longer. Highly reccomend!

A great base for visiting the Montesinho Nature Park.
A great base for visiting the Montesinho Nature Park. A hiking trails starts in Palacios, there are several other in a short distance. Rio de Onor and Matosinhos, two most frequently visited places in the Park are located in the short driving distance, if you like historical towns the Bragança is also close by.
Two good restaurants (Lombada and O Rustico) in a walking distance (but note that will be completely dark when you come back after a dinner).
