This is my second stay at the Miracorgo. Although a large hotel it doesn't feel souless - just a quietly well-run hotel. Fantastic position with lovely views of the forest, pleasant rooms with really comfy beds and pillows. Friendly and helpful staff from cleaners to reception.

It is a lovely apartment and you have everything you need. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable, the communication with the owner is fast, and the location is just on the main square of Vila Real. All in all, it's a fantastic choice and would definitely come back.

Casa Dos Correios in Vila Real is truly a hidden gem! We stayed here for one night during our wine tour in the Douro region. The place is simply perfect and charming. The rooms are exactly as advertised, if not better. The beds were very comfortable and we had the best sleep here! One of the highlights is how the history of the house, once an old post office, is thoughtfully woven throughout the property. It was fascinating to learn about its past while enjoying such a modern and beautiful space. There is also a local hiking path with a waterfall closeby, which we unfortunately didn't have time to explore. Hope to come back someday! A big thank you to the owner/manager, who was very friendly and helpful :)
