Matthew ( Matthau) was an excellent host . The room was very clean and new , very close to the volcano for an early hiking start , gave us recs for eating for dinner . couldn’t fault at all . perfect

We stayed at Hotel L'Ecrin for one night while hiking the GR R2 trail on Réunion Island. I highly recommend it to all hikers, as it's located very close to the trail. The hotel is pleasant, clean, with comfortable beds and a beautiful garden. The receptionist was friendly and spoke English, which was a great help. There’s also a restaurant right next door where we had an excellent dinner.

The place is amazing! Brand new, very clean, well decorated, super confortable, and the owner was really nice to us. Very fast comunication before we arrive, flexible with arriving time and great tips for restaurants on a sunday night.

The bungalow is really nice, new, modern and with everything you could need. All the fabrics (sheets, towels, blankets) smelled very good. Also very clean. The outdoor space is also very nice. We enjoyed a lot staying there and felt very comfortable. Highly recomended.
