It's located close to the center of Izola - a car is not needed (nor recommended) to visit it. From the back entry, the Dolphin Beach is just a few steps away. It's a rocky shore, but there are several stairs into the water. The inside pool is filled with salty water, which is great. Italy is not far away, you can see Trieste across the sea. Piran is a beautiful town to visit. The view of it from the Walls of Piran is stunning. Great places to eat and some lovely beaches for swimming. It is quite small, so can be done quite quickly, but there are some great marked walks around the area along the coast with stunning views across to Izola and Trieste... Lovely little coastal town with plenty of history and and well mapped walking trail. to wonder around, although parking is not free anywhere near the centre , which we hate, hate paying for parking and worrying about the time we need, time we have etc! It was a lovely city, but you must be able to walk steep hills to get there or take bus. A lot of walking and no parking, as with most cities. The beach is rocky, so you would want water shoes. It's totally on the peninsula. Bus into town is 1 Euro from the cemetery downhill from the property we stayed at, but limited schedule.Guest review byNosie
