Everything was perfect. We had deluxe queen room at superior floor and the view was also great. The hotel is very clean, new, has good taste in room decorations. We were sleeping very good and the staff was very nice to us. If we will visit again Michalovce, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

I arrived late at night and woke up late the next morning. I almost came too late for breakfast but the friendly receptionist had already told the restaurant staff about my delayed arrival and that I would probably sleep longer the next morning so they were prepared and made sure I still got a wonderful breakfast after all. The cook even offered me to prepare fresh eggs for me. It was amazing. I never had such a good service before :). I asked for nothing but they just knew what I needed.

Brand new property, excellent wellness and pool, staff are very friendly and go above and beyond. Hotel is close to the Paradise National park, so we could leave the car at the hotel and walk into the park via a separate trail. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of healthy options. The hosts were super helpful: they know the area very well and are able to give up-to-date information and recommend places to go (or suggest modification to our plans) as well as the best way to get there (thus saving us valueable time we would have spent travelling). The place is surrounded by forest and there are no sounds of traffic, so we slept really well. Breakfast is tasty and when the weather is good, you can take it outside in the freh air and sun. The extra touch to our stay was that the hosts offered to give us a better room in another building at no extra cost since our stay coincided with a big group of people arriving on the same day as us and the original room we were supposed to be in was in the bigger building taken by the group. I mean, the room was still there and unoccupied, but the hosts decided to give us extra privacy which was very considerate.

excellent location, very good attention from the staff, the hotel has its own parking space, the breakfast is very good since it is included with the room without paying extra, I expected less from the comments I read but very complete (it has a coffee machine, cold cuts, yogurt, some sweet things, cheeses, juices, breads) very well. We went with our pet and everything was very good, the spacious room.

Visiting Kosice in December is the best option, city is well decorated and there are many ongoing city events and gatherings. There are many historical places to visit, especially old churches, beautiful montains and shopping malls. Kosice combines old and new in a single whole.

A great small town!

A great small town! Lots of shops and a great point to travel to Paradise park and castle in Spissky Podhradie by train... Great stay! Not hard to get around and a tourist office is a bit forward, on the left street from the stay... Nice! I recommend it!

We went there to work on family history and visit old cemeteries. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate and it rained most of the time. I would like to go back in the spring when the weather is nicer. It is a very nice citiy.

It is a small, quiet village with good service.

It is a small, quiet village with good service. There are a few restaurants, a new cafe, a beautiful park suitable for walking, and a manor house that offers tours to the public. They also have a cinema there.

I come here every year for the International Peace Marathon...

I come here every year for the International Peace Marathon and I think that this fact says it all - i simply like this marathon weekends, the run itself, the atmosphere around... and there is always something historical to explore when there is some free time. Or not historical, but some interesting exposition in the Slovak technical museum.

I loved Spisska Nova Ves.

I loved Spisska Nova Ves. The old part of the town is very pretty and it is a short train ride to Poprod and from there to the mountains, which are beautiful. I wish I'd been able to stay here longer. And I loved the art gallery. Not big but some really interesting exhibits. Spisska is easy to walk around and the restaurants are great and not expensive. The only thing I would avoid is the person in the park trying to convert me to their religion. But that is not Spisska's fault.

The central section is a delight of course but a stroll through the back streets is also worthwhile for the atmosphere (who expects to find a great bell mounted on an insignificant corner) and architectural oddities. Kosice is not all that great on English ( or other western European languages) but leaving taxi drivers out of the equation you can usually find someone to answer questions. The eateries are good here but best are the smaller ones. Biggest gripe? Not getting the best directions about leaving by train to Hungary - which in Sept 2025 was actually by bus to the border.

Spisska Nova Ves a middle size town with historic center and...

Spisska Nova Ves a middle size town with historic center and largest oval-type square in Europe. Catholic church's tower in SNV is tallest one in middle Europe. Moreover SNV is the center of historic Spis (Sepesi, Zipser) region with museums. Near to SNV there is historic town of Levoca (10km distance) with extraordinary St. James Basilica equipped with wooden altar of high historic value. SNV is also the gate to the Slovak Paradise National Park which offers great opportunities for hikes in wonderful nature of hills and Hornad river's canyons.
