Conveniently located within walking distance of the bus terminal and night market yet along a quiet stretch of road. Service was warm and attentive. The staff noted that we were looking for serviettes n took initiative to promptly get us some before we asked for it. Rooms were spacious with cozy balcony. Lounge was thoughtfully designed with availability of easy-to-go items. Definitely a hotel to return to for future Chiang Rai trip.

MUST STAY! Old but gold. Your stay is worth everysingle bath for sure. I just checked out this afternoon and have to write a review now. The hotel is cute, everything is clean more than you can imagine, even the balcony is super clean too. I can't believe it. Big room, sunshine, you have all you need. The owers (wife and husband) are super friendly and helpful with their tips for you in Chiangrai! They even have the guide in your language LOL so cute. The location is perfect. The price is low but the quality is high. A good choice for everyone.

It was a great stay for just two days (we arrived in the afternoon of a Friday and left on Saturday evening). It was long enough to see the Blue temple, the big Buddha, the white temple and the black house. We would recommend not to walk much, just use Grab for transportation between the temples.

Chiang Khong,lovely and great place.

Chiang Khong,lovely and great place. Very authentic border city. Can enjoy beatiful nature also(mountains and forests.) and can visit mountain villages,have beatiful handcrafts to purchase. Made by village people ,(not mass production or cheap copies) Can not find anywhere else.

Mae Salong is a beautiful haven for a getaway.

Mae Salong is a beautiful haven for a getaway. Firstly, there are a few tea farms on the mountains. The scent of flowers wafts through the air almost wherever you go. Nothing is like the beauty of sun rise and sun set here. Last but not least, food is good.

The hotel is value for money. Clean and tidy rooms. I was in a double bed room with a co-joined 2 single beds room. Perfect for family. Staff were very helpful with an on arrival last minute room request.

A great location to see the amazing White Temple, Blue Temple and Red Temple with the Big Buddha. Various other great day trips also easily done from Chiang Rai. Stay a few nights to get the best from Chiang Rai.

A great city to do a border run, particularly if you stay at Fortune Riverview Hotel Chiang Khong - which seems to be the nicest accommodation in the area. We enjoyed our stay here quite a bit and would return.

I ❤️ Mae Salong. The clean crisp air and many local ethnic groups make this a great place to visit Love staying at Shin Sane GH or Little House GH. Each still offer great prices for cottages and Shin Sane still has the original rooms from wooden house and at a shoestring price for this region Love eating at Yunnan noodles down the road a bit past 7 Eleven and Salima’s. There’s a pure veg place heading towards the cathothic school nearby.

Acceptable for one night.

Acceptable for one night. You need a car to get to the hotel. The rooms are not soundproof. Quite loud from the traffic. The hotel is located directly on the main street. The breakfast is not bad and with good coffee to make yourself with a coffee machine.

Not a great selection of restaurants and not a beautiful city. The white and Blue temples are worth a visit, but the tour of the Golden Triangle is over hyped. It’s a full day tour filled with trivial things just to finally arrive at a view point to see Myanmar and Laos across the river. If staying in Chiang Mai, a trip to see the White and Blue temple with a return to Chiang Mai would be of greater value.

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river.

Chiang Khong, a lovely little town next to the river. Views are amazing and the food is good. It is not very big so staying for an extended time may be dull for some. Great for relaxing and quiet. Excellent for walking and/or riding bicycles.
