In all my years in Thailand this is the absolute best hotel I can recommend. This is a true 5 star hotel. The staff is outstanding and the service is exceptional. The breakfast is perfect with everything you could need, and so is the service. Unfortunately only stayed one night this time but will be back soon.

If something looks like paradise, feels like paradise, and tastes like paradise, then it probably is paradise, isn't it? Cape Pakarang seems to achieve the impossible - its modern design crafted in concrete and wood feels cozy and homey. The villa's floor-to-ceiling windows let you see the beautiful sunrises and sunsets and yet, for some inexplicable reason, give you the feeling of extreme intimacy. Located far away from the typical tourist crowds of Thailand but still easily reachable, this is a perfect place to chill out after some serious sightseeing (like we did). The breakfast menu is next-level and such a nice change from a typical hotel breakfast buffet. The same restaurant serves Spanish food as good as if you were in a very decent Madrid restaurant. But don't worry, if you're not done with Thai food by the time you visit, there are plenty of great options nearby, and the staff will point you to them. The villa's interior, landscaping, pool - everything is designed with the guest's comfort in mind and is eye-pleasing. The staff consists of the friendliest and most helpful people there are. If you're looking for a 5-star treat but in a less boring iteration and with a touch of something new, then that's the place for you.

We stayed in a pool access room which was great as we had a 5 months old baby with us. Everything was great - the breakfast buffet, the staff, the housekeeping. The restaurants on site were also delicious, and perfect with a mix of Thai and western food. Bonus with an indoor café with air con that had coffee but also food from the restaurants.

We had an amazing stay at Moracea, and the upgraded beach bungalows were absolutely worth it! The accommodation was excellent—spacious, beautifully designed, and the bathrooms looked newly renovated and spotless. Breakfast had everything we wanted and more, setting us up for a perfect day by the ocean. The hotel’s pools were lovely, but we spent most of our time in the sea or lounging on the beach just steps from our bungalow. There are beach loungers available, but it’s best to go early if you want to secure one. Khao Lak is wonderfully peaceful—a much-needed escape after the busier vibe of Karon Beach. It’s the perfect place to unwind, take long walks along the shoreline with plenty of hotel bars to stop at, or visit the old town for some shopping. After exploring the area, we truly felt that Moracea was the best choice, and we’re so glad we booked here. Highly recommended for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway!

Lovely strip of mainland beaches that reaches north for around 20kms; less frenetic than Phuket but still with plenty of casual beach restaurants and massages; lots of restaurants on the main road within easy walking distance of resorts; close to golf courses and nature reserves for adventure activities and also within closer reach of the spectacular Similian and Surin Islands (high season only from November to March); a great choice of accommodation from simple guest houses and bungalows to international-branded resorts with every imaginable facility and activity, great options for every type of holiday from a multi-generational family reunion to a quiet getaway for couples; easily reached by a good road from Phuket International Airport in one hour, the same time taken to reach some Phuket hotels from the airport during busy periods.

Nice village feel. perfect if you want proximity but a bit of quiet without the overan tourist hustle and bustle of patong etc. Id recommend for couples , singles wanting to chillout. Its not a party place-no nightclubs and that is its appeal to me

Lots to do in this area and easier to manage logistics compared to Phuket. We missed the Similans due to weather. Khao Sok national park is a must see though. We also did hot springs - the posh hotel and thought it was v good. Market was much better than Bangkok and Phuket. Highly recommend dinner at the Fat Shark.
