Everything, it is difficult to note it all down. Addy, the amazing soul of the place, was helpful before we even got there. We had difficulties getting to Kho Lanta on the day we wanted to get there, so she organized a driver for us. During the stay, she was very nice, upgraded our room and just gave us the possibility for a late checkout for free. We had to do some laundry and she took care of that completely, we only dropped the laundry in the morning and got it back nice and clean in the afternoon. There are motorbikes you can rent from the hotel and they are in very good shape. The rooms are luxurious, huge, very nice design, the bathroom is totally amazing, very much space and you have a place to put towels which make sense. This might sound weird but I've seen so many bathrooms where you cannot put your towels, or they are at places where you really don't need them. There is a terrace in front of each room, with nice and clean furniture. The entire area is very nice, clean and well taken care off. I would definitely recommend the place!!

I absolutely loved my stay at DOX Lanta Hostel. What truly sets this place apart is the incredible family who runs it. Sven and Sunny are the heart and soul of the hostel, and they could not have been kinder, more welcoming, or more attentive. From the moment I arrived, they went above and beyond to make me feel at home. They were always ready to help with anything, from tips about the island to arranging scooter rentals at great prices – and their warm energy created such a relaxed, friendly vibe. On my last day, we even shared a meal together, they just love sharing! They’re simply lovely people, and their genuine hospitality made all the difference. The hostel itself is cozy, clean, and in a great location, close to all the main spots, but still peaceful enough for a good night’s sleep. Whether you’re solo traveling or with friends, DOX Lanta is the perfect place to stay. I can’t recommend it enough, I left with wonderful memories and the biggest smile on my face!

We travel as backpackers and as a couple. We just loved it here. The staff is so nice and they do their best to help you! There were only three more guests staying in Cicada Lanta and only us having booked the stay with breakfast, so they opened their kitchen every morning only for us. Very cute! We even booked two more nights, as we felt so comfortable and on ease. The huts are very basic. You'll find everything you need. They are exactly how they look on the pictures and it's very clean. I loved it that the huts are made of wood. And there are so many handmade details everywhere - absolutely fantastic. We do have enough concrete at home. So this just fits so much better! I also love how they created the garden area. We would often sit on our little porch in front of the huts and enjoy the garden or do Yoga. I really don't like all these big resorts coming up. So if you look for a more authentic place but still kind of like to have it clean and nice: This is the place to stay! 🫶🏽

We just loved staying at Lanta Casa Blanca:). Our bungalow was very spacious, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and equipped with a lovely terrace. The whole resort is very well-kept with many trees and plants, the beach is lovely and the location of the hotel perfect for trips to explore beautiful Koh Lanta.     Staff were all helpful and friendly consistently, patient and attentive. June, the manager took care of booking and all typical requirements consistently, and provided extra care for us elderly couple. We were in one of the quietest cabins at the rear of the site, with more forest cover too to see wildlife, mostly monkeys and birds, and 2 resident cats! Rooms nearest the pool and beach, ideal for families, occasionally noisier of course, but not too seriously. Huge beach is very quiet. Food was excellent with wide choice of Thai and European meals at reasonable prices, with good cheap beer, but rather more expensive than usual cocktails. Wide choice at breakfast too, included in the price. The site is at the southern more forested and less commercialised end of the island, and the National park is a worthwhile day out at the southern tip, though the walk on the nature trail is difficult.

    The communication before arrival was excellent. We were arriving late at night and they helped to make everything go smoothly with someone meeting us at the airport (for cost) but worth it. When we arrived they had upgraded us to a villa with a plunge pool which made our trip. The breakfasts were amazing! Played crib by the pool nightly to watch the beautiul sunsets. As the resort was big we did not have a lot of interaction with staff but everyone greeted you with a smile in passing. The location was perfect for us as we like to walk the long sandy beach and only a 20-minute walk to Saladan. We rented a scooter for 2 days. We are in the mid-'60s and felt safe driving the scooter which allowed us to explore the island and Lanta old town which was fun. We stayed 6 nights and could have stayed longer.

    An amazing hotel that deserves the highest rating from an experienced traveler. The staff is attentive and responsive.     I loved the staff the most at this resort. They were so friendly and helpful and made our stay very comfortable. The pool and beach were just spectacular. And even though the beach looked barren- when you got in the water it was full of wonderful sea life like hermit crabs, squid and snails. The kids loved it. We even saw bioluminescence in the water at night.

    Visited in low season weather wasn’t great but that is to be expected. Beaches not good for swimming and littered with rubbish. The vast majority of restaurants and resorts were closed. This island has a very different vibe in the busy season.

    Gorgeous location.

    Gorgeous location. Great for families or people not needing a party outside their door. Plenty of tour providers to keep your days well occupied (shoutout to Goodtime travel for being the best service I’ve seen in a long time). Highly recommend Mons cooking school too - so much fun. Take a trip down to beautiful beach for the most crystal clear water.

    During off season (July) the Island is reasonably quiet, many places are actually closed. Still, we had a great time. We had picked the right accommodation and were lucky with the weather, Still, it was often very windy with one powerful storm, which made the beaches useless: high bumper waves with rocks under the surf. Luckily, we had a great pool at our place. Things to do: Great local food everywhere and very affordable. Mangrove and island cave kayaking Elephant sanctuary (go for the 2hrs option if you can afford it) Old Town (great few form the pier and lots of tourist shops) National Park (jungle walk, lighthouse, beach) Many beaches to explore Scooter hires everywhere

    Koh Lanta is a nice island, I went at the end of the season so not too many people. I think in peak season it might be uncomfortable with the number of tourists. The beaches on the west coast were amazing, we didn't go to any on the east coast, not enough time. Lots of restaurants and night markets. Great to walk along the beach and try different restaurants to eat lunch or dinner. The ethical elephant sanctuary on the south of Koh Lanta was an eye opening experience and changed my views. Lots of walks and waterfalls to see.
