The staff were exceptionally well trained to meet the requirements of the guests. The room was superb, well maintained. When we had minor issue in the toilet, the host personally came to resolve the matter. The staff were one of the best that we encountered across 9 different places in Thailand on our 45 days tour. The location is great but a bit pricey. The beach is just across the hotel. The housekeeping staff was very polite and accommodating. The cafe attached to the premises was also great. We will definitely love to come back to this lovely place.

2nd time here and this time we stayed for 2 nights for a quick stay away from work. It was good like before. Service is good, the owners are really nice. Food is good and recommending this to my friends. We usually don't bring anything with us because we want to try everything in the each property we go. The water was so pure and clear. Location is on a higher side but for me it is good, as i am looking for a quick silence from the busy work. Thanks again, will definitely be back next year.

Arriving into a secluded piece of heaven does the name of the resort justice. Nestled among palm trees and sounds of nature, this place along with the welcoming owners and the kindest staff deserves more than the 10 points I can give it here. The quiet beach is a short walk away along locals’ homes and a stunning temple. Needless to say, the bungalow itself has all the amenities one could need, the breakfast was just perfect and Pierre was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the best things to do on the island. I simply cannot wait to come back!

In short: you won't regret booking here. An absolutely phenomenal resort that will impress. We booked here without any prior experience with fishing. It looked great from what we could see in the pictures. When we arrived, I was amazed. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. The lake is a fantastic location with flat, luxurious, and spacious apartments. The staff greets you with a welcome drink and makes you feel very welcome. The manager is always up for a chat and regularly checks that everything is in order. There's also a large swimming pool for cooling off. We took the plunge and booked a half-day guided fishing trip. What an experience! You decide how much you want to do yourself and how much you want to be guided. So for us, with no fishing experience, it was very pleasant. Before you know it, after an intense battle with a catfish, you're proudly posing for a photo with your random choice. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of dishes, from traditional Thai dishes to delicious burgers and pizzas. (Handy for the kids). There's also a very wide selection of breakfast and lunch options. A great choice for a stay on Koh Samui!

Nam was a great host, she helped us get an excellent ocean view room. She also helped arrange scooter for our travel to the market. Service throughout was fantastic and very proactive. We were allowed a late checkout upon request as we were late in packing our stuff. The whole staff was very friendly and attentive. The massage lady onsite had amazing technique and was very knowledgeable. The room quality was of a very high standard, furnishings and equipment was very modern. Although we didn’t use it but the property has direct access to the beach and swimming pool. If we visit Ko Samui again we will definitely be staying at Blue Mango and would really want Nam as our host again !!!

Location is great if you want a little haven just for you. It’s in the middle of the forest, but close enough to the road. The staff is very friendly, and eager to help out in anything. Property is clean, as well as the pool. Also, we booked the breakfast, it was good and different every day. Lot of variations to choose from, and it is vegan friendly. Definitely great value for the money.

Palm Trees and Pristine Seas

One of Thailand’s most famous islands, Koh Samui (or Ko Samui) is a tropical paradise whose palm trees emerge from the pristine white sands at unbelievable angles, and whose offshore reefs make for great diving.

The most developed resort is Chaweng, though most bars and clubs are set back from the beautiful beach, so the views are still wonderful. Slightly less lively is Lamai, though its beach is no less impressive. Both of these resorts are home to a large number of Koh Samui hotels with private pools, a popular requirement of many visitors, despite the wonderfully warm waters.

Lipa Noi in the west faces Thailand’s east coast and has some beautiful sunsets, while the northern fishing village of Bo Phut is gaining in popularity. Nearby Mae Nam and Cheong Mon both have sweeping beaches that gently shelve into the sea, making them popular family choices.

Travellers don't go tot Koh Samui for its sights – but interesting attractions include the Big Buddha at Bangrak’s Wat Phra Yai temple, and the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui temple inland from Hua Thanon.

This has been the most incredible stay I have ever experienced. Soooo luxurious! I did not even dream about. First of all, the staff is super super kind. The restaurant Manager and restaurant service was doing so many nice things to make us happy. The food was delicious, many options to choose from. The villa was stunning, so clean! Cleaning was twice a day, in the evening we were served with a tea. The hotel took care also of mosquitoes every evening. Thank you so much to all of you! We were crying when we were leaving. We feel truly pampered by your service.

The stunning views. The size of the villa. The hotel's resident goats! The exceptional personalized service blew me away. There was one day when my guest relations officer noticed my car wasn't in the hotel carpark after dark. she recalled that I had mentioned that morning that I might visit one of the other resorts just to have a look around. But, because it poured that day, I changed my plans. My guest relations officer tried to track me down at the other resort, worried that something might have happened to me. I was deeply touched by the level of care!

The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. The facilities are amazing: there is a lot of space, the bed is comfortable, the private pool is very nice and clean. The public pool and the private beach are also awesome. Breakfasts are great. Do not miss the long stewed pork meat station at the entrance :) It is also worth noting the option of a golf car ride from the restaurant to your room - it is not just comfortable, but also fun :)

We got a free upgrade to pool access room which was nice. The pool is lovely and great for doing lengths if you like to swim. The beach is on the doorstep too and it's quiet. Food and cocktails are really nice too. The room is spacious and comfortable with a really nice rainfall showerhead. The staff are really nice and did everything they could to help us with anything, would definitely stay here again

The restaurant was fantastic, we ended up eating most meals there even though there are plenty of other options around. And the staff at the bar and restaurant were especially friendly, happy, and helpful and provided excellent service. I read a lot of reviews about the amazing beaches of Koh...

I read a lot of reviews about the amazing beaches of Koh Samui. I tried many of them and I can tell with confidence that Chaweng was the best by miles. I was based in Chaweng and I though to check the other beaches. I walked all over Lamai, which is very panoramic, but there is a constant stink wherever you go and the beach inside has a lot of corals/rocks that will probably hurt your feet. Crystal Bay was tiny, not comfortable because of the corals and overcrowded. I didnt see Fisherman Village beach while the others on the east side looked dirty. Choose Chaweng

Lamai is for those who like things to be bit slow and quiet.

Lamai is for those who like things to be bit slow and quiet. You will do everything that is possible on the Island in less than 4 days, after that you either enjoy the sun, pool, beach or numerous cocktail places. It's at bay s you wont have to worry yourself about natural disasters such as Tsunami.

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island...

We used Getyourguide & did a half day tour of the island which was really good, our tour guide told us loads, this also helped us tick lots of sightseeing of our list in less than a day. We were staying a short walk away from fisherman's village which was perfect because it was quiet but not too far to get a grab to Chaweng beach that we could swim in. Perfect location if you don’t want to be too close to the party.

We stayed over on Ban Tai, which was quieter with a beautiful sandy beach, almost no one around. I got a massage by the water with only the sound of the crashing waves which was the highlight on my trip. Great for families and good food all around.

There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

Very friendly people and going to a night market is a great experience! Traveling across the island is easy but it may get a bit costly if you have to take a van for 6 or 8 people. Beaches on the east side are nice but busy. Beaches on the west are less crowded but may get narrow and untidy due to the tides. Overall we were missing the very long beaches with plenty of palm trees and powder-soft sand. Worth a visit are higher areas of the island in middle, e.g. Dee's Chilling Hill restaurant. Also going to the Ang Thong Marine park is very nice.

Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Loved our room! It was very spacious,clean & comfortable. The bed and pillows met our expectations. The pool was huge! Great for children or grown ups. A very ambient,quiet resort set on the beach front. The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening. We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening. Overall a great stay & value for the rates. The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries. Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive. .
