I liked the fact that it hasn't been bought up by the Pakistani motel cartel. It's refreshing to see real Americans behind the front desk.

Great little town, friendly people, some nice places to eat, close to ocean (Roque Bluffs), lots of history in the area, the University of Maine-Machias is there. One hour from Canadian border with New Brunswick!
