FranceThe accommodation was beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. We especially enjoyed sitting outside on the comfortable chairs and cooking over the coals. Everything we needed was supplied, even the things to fight the countryside bugs. I highly recommend Quaggasfontein.

Unreal. We had been travelling for 8 hours and needed a stop off location to break the trip before the next 8 hours. Honestly these guys have their hotel down to a tee. Really brilliant set up. We had just stayed in a five star hotel in Johannesburg before this one and honestly this one was the more comfortable at a fraction of the cost. The check in was genius as we were late, tired and weary - the staff knew this and made it SUPER EASY AND FAST. I could not recommend this place any more.

The stay was amazing, we were very happy with everything. We've stayed here 3 times now and we will definitely be coming back. I would suggest putting some bug spray in the rooms in case one encounters a spider and some spoons with the coffee mugs (I think there are usually spoons, we just didn't see any on our last stay). As less of a priority they could slowly start replacing the pillows.

What can I say- Really exceptional for a short stay and value for the money paid. Compact and every thing needed for a short stay. Communication was excellent and a strong Wi-fi, DSTV and even luxurious like a small fridge, microwave and the necessary cutlery for self service and safe parking.

The Inn sits in extensive gardens with well appointed spacious rooms. I have stayed there on several occasions over the years when on holiday from Scotland and would never wish to use any other accommodation in the town. The staff are exceptionally welcoming and go out of their way to be helpful.

This was just a quick over-night stay, but the old house lodge was perfect. Clean, quiet, safe, friendly staff and a large room and comfortable shower. Just what was needed. Would happily stay here again in the future.

We always sleep over at Travalia when traveling to Cape Town, it is a welcome rest after a long day on the road. Rooms are great and you can even arrange to have a braai at your chalet, they light the fire and provide meat, salads and "braaibroodjies"

Merweville is a beautiful town! Friendly community. The town is very clean and neat.
The best coffee and breakfast at Die Boekklub with a shop to buy presents for family at home.
There is a nougat factory as well - Karoo Blessings, unfortunately they were closed when we passed through, but we could find their yummy treats at "Die Boekklub" in town.
The Graveyard is well looked after, we visited a family grave and we were very impressed!
Everywhere you drive, people will greet you with a friendly smile! It gives you a warm feeling of caring!

The location is very good The room very Comfortable and neat If you want to stay there without breakfast might be a better idea We paid for breakfast but did not eat.Menu very poor indeed..The owner should make sure all is set in the bedroom before guest arrives .Hand towels are a.must.Toilet rolls are a must.Sugar for tea is a must.and if you pay for breakfast it should be provided.not just scrambled eggs and boerovorce

Travalia is a little oasis in the Greater Karoo, just when your trip is too long this little jewel appears on your horizon.
Apartment was clean and had all the facilities you need. If you don't want to braai under your nice veranda, you can make a booking at the restaurant. Or, if you want to braai under the Karoo milky way, you can order in advance a good braai pack, salad and "braaibroodjies".
For breakfast you can make use of the Travalia Padstal where you can enjoy a traditional breakfast or a variety of pies. The shop stocks also Karoo lamb packs as well as many treats and gifts.

Very friendly clean town. Locals amazing, beautiful church and houses.
Only one coffee shop (closes at 16:00) but Ronel provides homemade cooked dinners. We had Springbok pie . Local farmer pointed us to best spots for sunset and sunrise photography.

In today's living in South Africa, this is undoubtedly the cleanest town I have ever seen. Town and residential areas. Everyone we met, truly welcomed you to their place of business. The Owner of the B & B was particularly helpful with whatever we asked. No matter who we spoke to, every soul was so helpful with a smile and happy travels, thanks for visiting our town; - one could definitely not ask for more. Plenty of our choice of eating places, With GPS assistance it is really easy to find your way around. Those who can afford, Game Farms close by.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the charming Cindy's Huisie! The antique furniture and decoration of the house was a nice surprise. There was even a splash pool. Security and parking was excellent and we had a great braai, also using the unique outdoor furniture. Highly recommended.
