United StatesI have nothing negative to say about this accommodation. We had a wonderful stay. It was big and spacious, very well equipped and nice big comfortable bed. It was in a quiet area but close enough for a quick walk and you are in the centre of the town. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by mountains and beautiful scenery. During our stay there was a big power outtage due to Eskom but the accommodation still had basic necessities like lights, TV and warm water. You can see that Manie made a lot of effort to make the place cozy and comfortable.

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge, I loved it from the moment I walked in. I received a very warm welcome from the host and the staff were very friendly and professional. The lodge has breathtaking views and a well taken care of garden. My room was cosy and had everything I needed. With the price I paid, the lodge definitely exceeded my expectations.

The rooster - lovely views, good service, excellent service - try the cheese fondue if you don’t want a lot
Treat restaurant - more upmarket and fine quisine. Delicious, beautiful restaurant and excellent service- even from the chef himself.
Enjoyed some beer at the Brewery and whiskey at the Highlander whiskey and gin bar - the latter one just lacking in service and atmosphere.

Cleaning staff serviced my room every day and very helpful
I admired the good old antique furniture on the hotel
What I did not like:
No coffee facilities inside rooms
TV in room poor reception and only two boring channels
One evening waiters were cold to me and ignoring me when asking for menu and I waited long before they served me

A place away from the hustle bustle of a city, take your food as there aren’t any eating places during weekend.
Beautiful time with family and board games.

This place is situated in the best spot (central).
This place is situated in the best spot (central). The proactive communication allows easy transition/check-in. I absolutely loved the attention to detail, the cleanliness and the coffee bar was on point. The extra blanket and throws came in handy as it was raining. The views were breathtaking and the energies just so calm. We truly loved the stay and would like to do it again soon.

Bethlehem is a small town.
Bethlehem is a small town. It is not far from CLARENS and GOLDEN GATE. You can drive to these two places in less than an our. We spent the whole day in CLARENS and bought some few items. We had our lunch there and walked around without fear of being mugged. There is a very good security; there was a security company patrolling around.
