Absolutely everything, the people is so kind and friendly. You feel like part of a family. The food is super tasty, thanks to Ilse, who is a fantastic chef. The place is really cozy, and the nature around is unique with a small trail to see a small nice river, astonishing views of the ocean from your room. You can see beautiful animals that are around. Special thanks to Jermina, who was always super kind and helpful as well as everyone there. All of them are extremely nice. The breakfast is very, very good. They have tours as well and can help with whatever you need.

Intle felt like a little oasis of serenity and pampering. The property is at the end of a very bumpy track but it is worth it! The environment is beautiful - tastefully decorated . The service is second to none - quietly efficient and friendly with it. I had a fabulous massage there too. We were in the presidential suite which was stunning but the whole place was lovely. Our only regret was that we had only booked one night, I would definitely stay for 2 if I came again.

We loved our stay at Morgan Bay Hotel - the location couldn’t have been better! We really enjoyed the breakfast and took our coffees down to one of the little tables next to the beach afterwards to admire the view. The peaceful location, the breathtaking view from the room (over the Zuurberg Mountains) and the friendly, personalised service. Camp Figtree is situated at 2km from the road, due to which you can enjoy total silence. The only sounds that you hear come from nature: birds, wildlife, … We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager, who received us with homemade Icetea. He showed us around the premises and brought us to the room. Camp Figtree also has a good restaurant with a terrace overviewing the mountains. The restaurant is very cosy. We sat next to an open fire and enjoyed our candlelight dinner. The food was very fresh and it tasted delicious! This morning, we also had a friendly encounter with the Lodge Manager. It was not a problem at all to stay a bit longer. He said we could even stay for lunch if we wanted. I will defintely stay here again on my next visit to South Africa!

A magnificent house, much better than it seemed in the photo. Cozy and has everything you need. Giraffes were approaching our house. And monkeys were jumping at the windows. The park is small, but it gives you the opportunity to see all the animals that live there. We were cooking a barbecue with a view of giraffes. It's an unforgettable experience. The safari was informative. Since we do not know English perfectly and sometimes it is difficult to perceive the language by ear, the guide pronounced every word. And everything was absolutely clear to us.

It was a challenging drive to the hotel due to the conditions of the roads, but once there it was magical. The staff were lovely, the room was spacious with a beautiful deck and a hidden garden. Breakfasts were awesome. It is a great place to hike and walk, I felt very safe walking on my own on the Bluff. I can't wait to go again.

1. Early morning or evening walk in the Valley of Desolation is a must do activity - 10 minutes drive from the town to park gates. 2. The fossil museum is fascinating, and explains how the topography of South Africa was formed. Barefoot is a reasonable size reserve accessed off a 25km...

Barefoot is a reasonable size reserve accessed off a 25km dirt road that can be a little bumpy in places. A 4x4 is recommended particularly if it rains. We opted for a private transfer to and from the airport and Caleb our driver was just a master at navigating the rough roads - well worth the £180 for the transfer (he also took us on a game drive on a neighbouring reserve close to Addo, organised by Barefoot and he was just incredible, so knowledgable and able to track down the elusive rhino - we would seriously recommend). The Barefoot reserve doesn’t have the big 5 and the 3 Barefoot elephants are cared for by dedicated keepers who spend all their days walking with them as they roam around the reserve. At night the elephants are housed in a very large protected paddock to ensure their safety. You will see giraffe, wilderbeast, zebra as a minimum - they come in herds to graze around the villa of an evening which is an incredible sight. The views from the villa are breathtaking as it sits on its own on a hilltop. There’s good WiFi, no TV (which for us was a good thing), beds were so comfy and the staff - Olivia and Soso just made our stay perfect 🥰

Born and bread in Port Elizabeth, the City has a lot of amazing sites to visit. At the heart of the Donkin Reserve stands the striking Stone Pyramid Monument, built by Sir Rufane Donkin, the Acting Governor of the Cape Colony in the 1820s. He erected the pyramid in 1820 as a touching tribute to his beloved wife, Lady Elizabeth Donkin, after whom the city was named (Port Elizabeth) to the 50m high Campanile Memorial with a climb of 204 steps offering a magnificent view of the harbor and surroundings.
