The manager and his wife were wonderful! We ended up eating every mean overlooking the beautiful Lake Lucerne. We got to know the waiters and they were so kind. We went for a day into Lucerne, and the manager recommended the best restaurant, Brasserie Bodu which we have since passed on to friends visiting Lucerne. The accommodation is exceptional from start to finish. Everything was impeccably clean which is very important to us. There is a bus stop in front of the guest house which takes you to the city centre in a few minutes. This means that it is super easy to travel around the area. The host was fantastic as he explains everything very clearly and is very accommodating. The host was one of the best we have ever experienced. There is a breakfast as well which we enjoyed. I would highly recommend Gasthaus Zum Kreuz

Very quiet hotel - no cars. To reach by train (at the moment 08/2025 by bus- construction work at the railway service). Book your bus-ticket in advance online - station Uetliberg is not in the "central-zone" of the ZVV (public transportation) - at the car-parking area is no ticket-machine installed, also in the bus you cannot buy the ticket. Excellent Dinner in the Restaurant! Very good Breakfast!
