Staying at Los Guardeses was an extraordinary experience. It is located in Solares, in a reformed, former marquess house. Although it is surrounded by modern buildings, the garden with abundant plants maintains it's unique atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly, and shared the history of Los Guardeses. The room was very clean and had all equipment from the description. I was happy to find a good quality hairdryer. The beds were comfortable with two, long pillows for each person. Breakfast was tasteful with variety of products. To sum up, I strongly recommend this place.

This hotel was fantastic! An old house in a lovely village with spectacular views surrounded by a well kept garden. Upon opening the front door, we were assailed by the beautiful smell of beeswax polish. Our key was waiting for us on the table and there was lemon water and glasses in the hall. Full of interesting collections and pictures. Fab room with balcony covered in geraniums - just perfect! Booking in at the larger Hotel Miera in the adjacent village was no problem and the concierge was helpful and friendly.

The location was perfect for the Rallye Festival Hoznayo, the rooms were spoiltlessly clean, the atmosphere was good, the service and amenities were exceptional and the Spanish people were very helpful. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to family and friends. Viva España 🥰😍

Brilliant breakfast far more than expected. Coffee, orange juice, freshly homemade cakes, croissants, doughnuts, eggs, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, bread if you want to have toast. Couldn’t fault buffet. Location was great, 25 minutes from Santander ferry port.

The hotel is just a minute walking away from some beautiful beaches, the staff is really friendly, and also the city centre can be reached very easily with one of the many buses. It was fantastic staying here for a weekend and I'd do it again.

We had a truly wonderful stay! The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming, making us feel at home from the very first moment. Our room was clean, spotless, spacious, and extremely comfortable. We were kindly offered a complimentary breakfast, which was of excellent quality. The service was outstanding — the staff were always attentive and eager to assist. We sincerely appreciated the warm hospitality throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

    The staff were brilliant. Very helpful and friendly. Property is beautiful. Very comfortable and beautiful garden. They allowed us to park inside the main 'owners gates' which was very much appreciated as car filled with our belongings, but without we would have been on street. Two disappointments, overlooked by tower blocks of apartments and no restaurant. Breakfast was lovely and service was exceptional. Thank you to Isabel for understanding re car and parking.

    The host gave us a free upgrade to a room with a balcony. The room itself had wonderful views of the mountains and countryside. We went for a short walk and saw eagles albeit it from a distance. The host got up early to provide us with breakfast as we had to leave early for the ferry

    Breakfast was super, my kids loved the pastries, hot chocolate and fruit salads. Lots of options for all ages. The thermal spa was amazing, we all spent so much time there. The outdoor pool was fabulous too. The treatment area was lovely too, my facial was very relaxing. The yoga classes and room are a wonderful facility.

    The hotel was really lovely. We were travelling with our dog and we had a great sized room with a very comfortable super king size bed. The staff were fabulous and really accommodating with our dog when we were booked into the restaurant for Sunday lunch on our arrival. Lovely lunch and breakfast was excellent too.
