Lovely old hotel by the river. Steeped in history and nicely refurbished by Best Western.
The staff were fabulous and have even packed up and posted to me a nightie I left in the bathroom, free of charge!
Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. We didn't pay for parking and parked in the free Parking Monnier only 6 mins walk away, along the river.

Spacious room, big comfy bed and well equipped bathroom, lovely view of the river from 2 large front windows. Helpful staff on check in and check out. We didn't have breakfast but it looked ok. Location was good - short walk to nice bars and restaurants but it is on a busy main road, if we hadn't reserved a secure parking space (at extra cost) we would have struggled. However the room itself was quiet overnight.

Warm welcome from reception and suggestions for restaurant, lovely art deco lounge. Comfortable room with river view, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge. Organic fairtrade cotton towels and organic soap/ shower gel. Good position to walk along the river promenade and walk to restaurants. Close to Auchan hypermarket too for food supplies while travelling. A very relaxing and comfortable stopover for us, travelling south to north.
