Sandanya is a lovely and unique guest house.Impeccably clean,with spacious Japanese style rooms and beautiful ground floor area with amazing collections of Japanese dolls,glasses,shells and so much more..There is a pc corner, too. Regarding travel necessities,whatever you think of-the owner already has it covered.Hygiene sets,maps,bus passes,plenty of fridge/freezer space,nice,fragrant towels..can’t praise this place enough.For western travellers,don’t be put off by shared toilets and bathrooms:all in pristine conditions,even with bath mats changed after every use. The owner speaks English and is very helpful and friendly.Location wise,it’s a literally min away from Sandanbeki cliffs and if you want to go down the hill to some onsen or to Shirahama beach,the bus stop is just next to the house.Walking to Shirahama beach is easy, only takes 20 min,with 2 foot baths along the way. I stayed 4 nights there and loved everything about this guesthouse.

I had a fantastic tatami room overlooking the sea and really loved it so much. The 2nd floor onsen was excellent and I appreciated the snacks and wine in the lobby in the evening and the coffee in the morning. The breakfast buffet was also very excellent, staffs were very kind and professional.. all good and would recommend to others

Shuttle service was great. Room was not too small for the price. Clean. Stuff were really wonderful.

Musashi features Japanese-style accommodations and a hot-spring bath for guests to relax in. JR Shirahama Train Station is a 20-minute drive away.

The buffet Breakfast was great! So close to the beach- easy walk to lots of restaurants, the beach, shops etc.

If you are one who likes unparalleled sea views + hot spring baths, give this place a try! The bathroom and room decorations are a little old-fashioned and have a sense of age, but overall, everything was functional and very clean, plus room amenities were good. If the weather is good, do take a soak in the open-air footbath on the first floor of the hotel and enjoy the views while at it. They also provide yukata in the room, which can be used around the hotel as well as to bring to the bath. I highly recommend trying their outdoor bath, which has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful, and even though some couldn't speak good English, they tried their very best to help us with any queries we had. much appreciated. Would return to stay next time!

Comfortable bed and pillows. Exceptionally clean. Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was across the beach, near bars, restaurants and shops. Onsen was a plus, so many shampoos and hair conditioners to choose from

Very attentive and friendly staff who make an effort with their guests. Onsen and bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. The dinner and the breakfast were absolutely delicious. Incredible view for sunset.
