Fun place to stay! The owners were really characterful and friendly. It's right in the jungle and the garden is like a jungle too. The room was great, very clean, hot running water and really well kitted out rooms - Good AC, a stocked fridge with cold drink minibar type setup, kettle, tea/coffee, a big washing bowl handy for washing clothes. The entrance to Sigriya is directly opposite the access road to this place - you could not stay any closer, so ideal for an early morning start up the rock. The Breakfast here is absolutely stunning, 18 different items, all cooked by the host in the morning, hoppers, pancakes, little omelets, jaffles.. it just keeps coming out! We had our own tuktuk so driving around, going out at night wasn't a big deal, and the owner can easily organise a tuktuk pickup as this guesthouse is set back into the jungle. A 5min walk from main road in the daylight but maybe not something to try in the dark. We would happily stay again!

The owner Dinesh was super friendly and helpful with us the whole stay. His family is awesome and they made our stay there just perfect! Dinesh arranged us the most perfect jeep safari with his friend. What made this special is the fact they both are passionate about nature and animals. Their knowledge is absolutely amazing and we had such cool chats with both of them. They didn't just care about making money out of tourist, they truly cared about animals and their wellbeing. Rare, but extremely nice. Definitely going back there some day!

Clean room with stunning view of lions rock, great air conditioning. The breakfasts were delicious and different every morning. Had scooter or bike hire to get into town. The family were so lovely and cooked the best dinners. They even arranged a us a tuk tuk for a sunrise walk up Pidurangala Rock as well as a Safari. They also arranged us a drive to take us to our next location.

The location is amazing. The villa is surrounded by nature and right behind is a river. Also, we saw some monkeys while eating a delicious home-cooked breakfast. Chaminda and Mali were very helpful and they helped us with a safari in Hurulu Eco Park which was fantastic and we saw so many elephants there! Not only that, they managed a tuktuk so we could go to the Pidurangala to watch the sunrise + renting a scooter was not a problem. On the last day, Chaminda took us to a herbal garden on our way to Dambulla. In addition to all of that, you can have a fabulous dinner and cooking class with the hosts here!
