Casa de Sao Bento was recommended by a friend who lives in Coimbra and had visitors staying there before. We loved our two days stay there! The reception staff is professional, helpful and welcoming; the lounge/waiting area is beautiful and comfortable; the on-suite room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable and it had a very nice kitchen area with cupboards, fridge and mini oven. The house itself and the patios are tastefully decorated and look stunning. I can't recommend this place more. Coimbra is beautiful too and well worth the visit. It has the oldest university in Europe which you can visit.

I really liked the location, the fresh renovation in the room, and the cleanliness. The toiletries (shampoo and soap) were of excellent quality. The view from the windows overlooks the Santa Clara-a-Velha Monastery. There is a public transport stop right below the windows, which can take you to the University and the Botanical Garden.

Really clean, lovely staff, generous bar staff, excellent daily cleaning service, nice breakfasts, good room service, good value for money! Will be returning! I didn’t use the spa because I was too busy but it looks nice!

In the city center, many restaurants around and very clean hotel. The stuff was great, very nice and informative, they helped us a lot. The garage is a big plus if you are coming with car and it is free for the hotel guests. Breakfast was just delicious and great vareity of food. The rooftop bar and the view is stunning.
