I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the thoughtful touch of providing both small and large pillows to suit individual preferences. The breakfast combined freshly cooked eggs with a very good buffet selection. The self-service wine bar, featuring family-made wines from local Burgenland and international grape varieties, offers excellent quality at a very reasonable price. The provision of free coffee and tea was also a bonus.

Surrounded by a rose garden in the centre of Illmitz, the Rosenhof offers free Wi-Fi, a sauna, and air-conditioned rooms with a balcony. The restaurant serves modern and classic dishes. Amazing hotel. I think people do not realise how nice that area of Austria is. Breakfast was amazing and made out of food from the local area. I liked the grape juice that was made by the hotel. Room was big and clean the shower was amazing. I think is the first one that I've seen that they really put thought into it. Quiet, free parking. In the summer time I believe it is a wonderful place. Ahhh....and I shouldn't forget about the wine. That is a wine area for Austria.

Located in the heart of the Neusiedlersee-Seewinkel National Park in Illmitz, the Pension zur Sonne features its own winery, an outdoor pool and a sunbathing terrace. This is a very fine Pension. They have met and exceeded all expectations. Stephanie was a delight checking us in and finding a place for our tandem bike. Her mother in law graciously helped us with directions to local bike shop. Lovely family and great place to stay.

Seewirt & Haus Attila are located right at the shore of Lake Neusiedl in Podersdorf, just 100 metres apart from each other, and offer a private access to the public beach. We had troubles with check in, with the help of a local, they solved it and welcomed us in a warm way. The hotel is nice, great location.
